Tell us about that first moment when you saw your baby.

We waited a long time to meet Ben and the moment he arrived was so special! He was so alert and I remember feeling so happy to finally hold him and that I had forgotten how small a newborn is! Joe and I were both so happy to finally hold him and we’re immediately in love. Also, we couldn’t help but notice how much he looks like his older brother, Logan!

Ben weighed 8 lbs 3 oz and was 21 inches long

How did you come up with his name?

With a last name like ours, we needed a first and middle name that was simple! We both love the name Ben and his middle name, Michael, is the same as Joe’s as well as the name of Joe’s late uncle.

Give us the scoop. What has surprised you the most about parenthood?  Are there any funny stories or firsts that you’d like to share?

I spent a lot of my pregnancy thinking about what it would be like to have two kids and thinking that the second time around would be different. And while it is in some ways, in many ways it’s just as new and special as the first time! Ben’s birth and meeting him for the first time was just as special as when Logan was born, and I’m learning that Ben is a unique newborn that may look like Logan but is a totally different person that we are all getting to know. It’s like being a first time parent all over again, except now we’re older and more tired 🙂 Also, there is nothing more heart warming than seeing a big brother love his new little brother 

How was your experience with Crystal Jo?

Working with Crystal Jo  was amazing! I knew I wanted to work with her for our family pictures after seeing her rock a session with 6 toddlers earlier in the year. Crystal Jo Was so patient with the four of us, was a pro at helping us feel comfortable and made everything so easy – we just had to smile! I can’t wait to work with her to capture our future family memories!!! Thank you again for capturing our crazy little family last week! It was truly a pleasure!
