Beth and Anthony. Engaged. (And Jade is quite excited! Doesn’t she look like she’s smiling?!)
Let me just tell you guys in advance..
THESE ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS ARE AMAZING! F’REAL. Beth and Anthony chose their family farm for this session. And let me just show you how much it rocked my socks…
Uh, the right photo, the way Anthony is holding his girl. The body language here. Swoon!
BODY LANGUAGE. Bam..
An outfit change and into the barn we went. This is the oldest barn the family owns. It’s literally falling down but it has SO much character and history. It’s Beth’s favorite and she’s fighting for the old barn to stay. Her Mom, who graciously helped us the evening of the photo session, said, “we could put a new floor in the barn and you could get married here, Beth.” YES! Nah, we’ll just save it for these really cool photos…
So, on September 3, 2016, after ten years of being soulmates, they will say “I do” by Waters Edge.
I adore you both and I couldn’t be more excited to share your day. XO, friends!
This long dirt road will take us many beautiful places, my dear.
Some fun facts about this adorable couple…
When and where is your wedding?
We are getting married on September 3, 2016 at Water’s Edge in Hilliard, Ohio.
How did you meet?
Anthony- High School
Beth- We both grew up in rural Madison County and both went to Madison Plains. I had known Anthony through school and showing animals at the fair since I was young. It wasn’t until the end of his senior year and that summer that we started hanging out. That fall, the beginning of my junior year of high school and his first year at Ohio State, we started officially dating. The rest is history!
Tell us about your proposal!
Anthony- I took her out to dinner for our 8 year anniversary. We went to the same place that we did for our first Valentine’s Day. Beth had mentioned before that she wanted a picture of the moment, so I arranged to have the waiter nearby with a camera. Once I got down on one knee, I completely forgot what I had planned to say because I was so nervous. I could only think to tell her I love her and that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. I asked her to marry me and she of course said “Yes.”
Beth- We had planned a nice night out to celebrate our 8 year anniversary. Anthony took me to Mitchel’s Steak House downtown, where we had out first valentine’s day date. We ordered dinner and I was actually worried that he was sick because he drank 2 or 3 glasses of water before our food even came out, which is not like him. I was genuinely worried about him. I went to the restroom and when I came back I saw our food had arrived. I sat down and Anthony got up, walked around the table, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. He also set up the server to take a picture of him proposing. I treasure that picture! I had mentioned to him a long time before this that I would love to have a picture of him proposing. He remembered that and made it happen! I couldn’t have asked for a better night!
What’s your favorite thing about your significant other?
Anthony- Beth is very loving and dedicated. She’s an amazing daughter and a great aunt to her niece and nephew. She’s a perfect mix of beauty and brains, yet humble, and treats everyone with respect. But what impresses me the most is her determination. A lot is asked of her, and even more is asked of herself. She knows what she wants to achieve in life. No matter the lack of time or pure exhaustion, she finds a way to continue on.
Beth- I honestly love everything about Anthony. If I had a choose one favorite thing, it would be his caring heart. Anthony is always willing to help anyone in need. He is always looking for ways to make me smile and I don’t think I tell him enough how much I appreciate that. I couldn’t ask for a more wonderful man to spend the rest of my life with. And not to mention, he’s pretty handsome! 🙂
What makes you guys unique?
Anthony- While many couples rushed to be married and have kids, we stayed focused on our plan.
Beth- Anthony and I have truly been through it all from high school, to college, to building a career, to getting back into shape (this was probably the hardest, yet most fun part), and now planning our dream wedding. As a couple, we are so resillient. I know that we will be able to handle anything that is sent our way.
How did you find Crystal Jo?
Anthony- Crossfit 43123
Beth- Anthony and I started doing Crossfit about 6 months ago. We met Crystal and she was always so nice at the workouts, when we were struggling. When I found out she was a photographer I asked for some information from her. After looking at her work we knew we wanted her to capture the most important day of our lives!
