Tell us about that first moment when you saw your baby.

The first time I really got to hold Lincoln and cuddle with him… I sopped. It was so perfect. Everyone tells you how much you immediately love your child and I was somewhat skeptical but they were right! I knew in that moment that our lives would never be the same. It’s really something you can’t underStand until you experience it.

What was your baby’s birth weight and length? Lincoln was 5lbs 15oz and 18 3/4 inches long

Is there a story behind your baby’s name?
Josh and I couldn’t decide on a name. Josh like older names and I like more current/trendy names. One day Josh said “ How about Lincoln? When he poops we can call his poop Lincoln Logs” I responded “I’m sold!”

Give us the scoop. What has surprised you the most about parenthood? Are there any funny stories or firsts that you’d like to share?

I am surprised by how many facial expressions Lincoln has. It’s entertaining at 3am when you’re feeding him. My favorite face is when he puckers his lips together and looks like a fish.

Lincoln was in the NICU but he was a pretty big baby with big checks and multiple chins. He had to have a CPAP machine for the first couple of days. The CPAP had a chin strap and the nurses would tease about which one of Lincoln’s chins they needed to put the strap on

What did you like best about your experience with Crystal Jo?

I love how Crystal Jo just came in the house and was so comfortable just doing her thing. I had no idea how a newborn photo shoot should go so I’m glad she was just so comfortable. She is also amazing with babies. She was so patient and loving with Lincoln! She was also so patient with us.. we wanted a family picture with a newborn and 2 dogs and she said “let’s do it”.
