Tell us about that first moment when you saw your baby.
The moment Eve was born I felt an overwhelming sense of joy and relief that she was healthy and finally here! I was so happy I couldn’t take my eyes off her or stop smiling.
What was your baby’s birth weight and length?
5lbs 15oz, 19″
Is there a story behind your baby’s name?
I’ve liked the name Evelyn since I was young. The fact that the name had family ties on both sides was an added bonus!
Give us the scoop. What has surprised you the most about parenthood? Are there any funny stories or firsts that you’d like to share?
The first time we took Eve out for the afternoon, we learned the importance of bringing a change of clothes for the baby. We’ll just say we threw out our portable changing mat…
What did you like best about your experience with Crystal Jo?
Aside from Crystal Jo’s enormous talent, her personal touch and friendly demeanor can’t be matched. We cannot say enough about the wonderful service we received!

What is your favorite memory during your child’s first 6 months?
My favorite memory is whenever she gets to try new foods and to see her response to them.

I love the stage she is at now because she is starting to realize she has a voice and knows how to use it!

Happy! She always has a smile on her face.

Here are a few fun facts about amazing couple…
When and where is your wedding?
Jordan- July 2nd, 2016. The Taylor Mansion, Columbus.
Maria- Our wedding is on July 2, 2016 at the Taylor Mansion.
How did you meet?
Jordan- Through a mutual friend when I moved to the Columbus area.
Maria- We met a while ago, in 2009, when Jordan moved to OH and a mutual friend, Mike, introduced us. Then we started dating in 2011 after we both separately attended Mike (& Saundra’s) wedding, reconnected as friends, and then fell in love =)
Tell us about your proposal!
Jordan- I proposed to Maria on a beach in Kauai, HI. We were there on vacation and we went to watch the sunrise on the beach. As the sun rose I gave her a wooden charm box carved in the shape of a tiger which contained the ring.
Maria- We were on vacation in Kauai, HI with Jordan’s family February 2015. I already knew Jordan wanted to propose somewhere special, so I was figuring this would probably be it. Jordan knew I wanted to watch the sun rise over the ocean at least once during that vacation, so one morning he woke me up early and asked if I still wanted to watch the sunrise. I was sleepy, but I knew I didn’t want to pass up the opportunity. So we got up, Jordan poured us a cup of coffee to share and grabbed his backpack (which made me suspicious ). We walked down to the beach, picked a spot to sit and enjoyed our coffee. Then he reached into his backpack and pulled out a wooden puzzle jewelry box in the shape of a tiger and told me to open it. I knew what it was, and I was so happy and thrilled that he did something so sweet! So I opened the box, and there it was, a ring, and he asked me if I would marry him. I was so happy, I soaked in the whole moment, the gorgeous early morning, the colors of the sky and sea, the fact that we were alone on that beach, it was perfect… All that mattered was the two of us. And, to commemorate that day, I painted a picture of the photo we took of our footprints in the sand on the beach, and on the back of the canvas I wrote the date we were engaged, so that I would always remember…
What’s your favorite thing about your significant other?
Jordan- My favorite thing about Maria is the combination of her sense of humor, ability to relax and have fun, and enjoyment of similar hobbies as myself.
Maria- Hmm, that’s tough, I love so many things about Jordan. I guess what I really love about him is that he always has my happiness at heart. He’ll always take care of me, go the extra mile to do things for me, and make me happy without ever being selfish about it. He’s such a great man with a good heart!
What makes you guys unique?
Jordan- I think it’s the appreciation for interesting and sometimes awesome things. For instance we both like racing. We have both ridden pit bikes at a co-workers pit bike race. We co-drove my e30 at both an autocross and a rally cross. Maria co-drove for me at a few rally events. We both enjoy brewing beer and appreciate good food. So many reasons to love her.
Maria- We work together! We both have the common goal to build each other up, and I think that makes us stronger for it.
How did you find Crystal Jo?
Jordan- One of Maria’s coworkers recommended Crystal Jo and we couldn’t be happier!
Maria- We found Crystal Jo through our friend Caleb Longman.

Some fun facts about Kendall..
What is your favorite memory during your child’s first year of life?
When she started sleeping through the night! Haha! Really though we have loved every moment. Overall, I have enjoyed watching her reaction and love grow for her sister. She laughs the most when Kinley is interacting with her.
Do you have a funny story or something that happened in her first year that you’d like to share?
Nothing too funny, but there is such thing as “the poor second kid.” We had every intention to redo the nursery for her. Well….Kinley’s name is still above the crib in wooden letters…oops, she’ll never know, right?
What age/month has been your favorite and why?
Now, she’s starting to point at what she wants, say a few words, and have much more expression.

Tell us about that first moment when you saw your baby.
We were in disbelief, she was so beautiful and perfect!
What was your baby’s birth weight and length?
She was 7lbs 7oz and 20.5 inches.
Is there a story behind your baby’s name?
My grandmother on my dad’s side was named Rose Veronica, and always thought it was beautiful. She watched us a lot when we were kids and we always had so much fun at her house. I knew for a long time I wanted to name my girl, if I was ever lucky enough to have one, Veronica Rose.
Give us the scoop. What has surprised you the most about parenthood? Are there any funny stories or firsts that you’d like to share?
I think we are still in shock that we are the parents of two kids. Gabe asked to hold Veronica right away when he first met her and it was such a precious moment.
What did you like best about your experience with Crystal Jo?
She is so patient and kind when working with everyone!

Audrey has both Nebraska fans and Ohio State fans very close to her. So she’s a mixed breed. 🙂

Tell us about that first moment when you saw your baby.
What was your baby’s birth weight and length?
She was 6 lbs 6 oz and 20 inches long.
Is there a story behind your baby’s name?
Audrey was one of the few names that both my husband and I both liked. We would sit in the evening and just roll off names never finding anything we both could agree to. Then he went through his list of names he liked including Audrey and I perked up and said that’s it!
It is amazing how much she changes every single day. This is fascinating to watch but also dumbfounding because just when you think you’ve got it figured out it changes or something new is added into the mix. We’ve also never had so much conversation about poop! Haha.
What did you like best about your experience with Crystal Jo?
Crystal Jo was so good with Audrey at the newborn photo shoot. Being only 5 days out since birth and just trying to cope with the new chaos of our lives I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and enjoyable Crystal Jo made the experience of the photo shoot.
