To complete this beautiful family… (my session fave)
With PROUD big brother and sister!
Merry Christmas, sweet baby girl. XO!
Here are a few fun facts about Harper…
What was your baby’s birth weight and length?
9 pounds 14 ounces
23.5 inches long
Is there a story behind your baby’s name?
Ryan and I made a list before our first baby… Being a teacher severely limits the names available for use. Harper was almost my 5 year old daughter’s name and when we found out this one was a girl, we still loved it. Her middle name, Zana. Is a family name. My grandmother’s name is Zana, her grandmother’s name was Zana and so on… My 13 year old cousin was also named Zana. Hopefully, Harper will continue the tradition.
Give us the scoop. What has surprised you the most about parenthood?
Parenting 3 is a whole new experience! 2 was a handful but 3 may send me over the edge ????
The big kids have been amazing with her, they love her so much… They always want to give her kisses and hold her. Avery is very gentle and just thinks being a big sister to a girl is the best. Ryder loves her too much and I’m afraid he may pull a Darla from Finding Nemo! ????
What did you like best about your experience with Crystal Jo?
Crystal, as my husband puts it, is a baby magician. She made sure the shoot was all set up for newborns: heaters, calming music, etc. She knew exactly how to handle and position Harper as well. It was amazing.
The Biggs Fam. Baby Bump.

We’re super laid back, and constantly tease each other! If either of us didn’t have a sense of humor, it wouldn’t have lasted 7 years
How did you find out you were expecting?
Kinda boring, pregnancy test. I knew the moment it happened tho.
What’s your favorite thing about being pregnant? Least favorite?
Fave: feeling her wrestle around! Even the painful kicks make me laugh.
Least: no soft cheeses / occasional queasiness.

After the ceremony, we headed to Pigskin Brewery for some fun with the bridal party. Wedding fave…How awesome is this?! They even let us where only the brew makers can go.High five! Ohio State scored! Go BUCKS!
Everyone dreams of a dress bustle in a bar, right?!
When it rains, it pours. It really didn’t faze these awesome people.
I loved all of the non-traditional details. The rain session with an umbrella. The brewery. The pie bar. All so very fitting for this laid-back, fun-loving couple. I adore you both so much and only wish you tons of pie and tons playing in the rain. XO forever, friends!Wedding favors to go along with the craft beer theme. Coasters made by the bride and her family. The Vue was a beautiful venue that I’ve never been to. Tons of clean open space with elements of modern details.

The Rowe Family.
They seriously couldn’t be any cuter!
Kendall and Kinley.
We did this for Kinley’s Christmas session when she was about the same age as Kendall.
This was Kinley a couple of years ago….
And we headed outside to a nearby tree “farm”. Aka, the trees that were for sale in front of the local K-Mart.
Kay looks just like Chris here!
She’s a FAST ONE!
We met at Coaches in Gahanna in 2008. We got married in 2012 and have since had 2 beautiful girls, Kinley is 2 1/2, Kendall is 8 months old.
Probably something for the kids 🙂
The magic of Christmas now that Kinley is old enough to get excited for presents. Spending time with family and friends.
Haha! We have a joke in our house, if one of the kids do something rotten we always say “that’s your kid,” referring to the opposite spouse. And of course, when one of them does something nice or brilliant, we take total credit for that trait!
We haven’t had too many funny stories yet but we are so amazed at how their bond has already been established. Kendall laughs the most when Kinley is dancing around or playing with her. The first thing Kinley asks about every morning is “where’s Kendall?”
Kinley – Now. Even though behavior is challenging at this age, there is nothing more precious than cuddles when they actually have a choice. Kinley LOVES to cuddle. She will cuddle all day long. Also, the words and phrases that come out of her mouth crack us up. I love to listen to her “pretend play.” Kendall – Now. Life just keeps getting better with her. She could start sleeping through the night though haha. She always has smiles for us and is so sweet. She rarely gets frustrated and is so patient. She says “dada” and her face lights up when mommy comes in the room. She loves finger food. This girl would eat all day long.
Kinley – determined Kendall – calm

See ya soon, Santa Baby.
Beatrice. Newborn.
Little scarecrow baby.
A TEN POUND BABY and a NATURAL BIRTH! Let me tell you, this Momma is a rockstar!
Three’s a charm!Here are a few fun facts about Beatrice…
Tell us about that first moment when you saw your baby.
I was amazed to see her – and see that it was really a girl! The delivery was smooth so I was able to hold her right away, she had a lot of dark hair and was already a cuddlier.
What was your baby’s birth weight and length?
She was 10 lbs 7.8 oz and 21 3/4 inches
Is there a story behind your baby’s name?
We liked the name Beatrice and had considered it for our second child (Henry) – we chose Carolyn because it’s pretty but it’s also a family name (my great aunt who is deceased).
Give us the scoop. What has surprised you the most about parenthood? Are there any funny stories or firsts that you’d like to share?
Adding a third kid has been smoother than expected. I’m always amazed to see how the kids interact and how much they change. It’s been really cool seeing the boys as big brothers and how much they move their new baby sister. Having a girl has been different – she’s peed all over several times – unlike the boys, it didn’t hit me but spread everywhere else 🙂
What did you like best about your experience with Crystal Jo?
She’s so friendly and my boys love seeing her/working with her (“Miss Crystal Jo!”). I also appreciate her attention to detail, it shows in her pictures.
The Yazdani Fam.
The photo on the right, my fave!
Could this day and this family be any prettier?! NOPE!
I love the way she’s looking at Daddy.
Neda, your hair is GORG!
What’s all the buzz? Armpit is a bumble bee, that’s what.
Here a some fun facts about this family….Enjoy!
What is your favorite memory during your child’s second year of life?
Her 2nd birthday at Disney World and watching her getting excited to see the characters for the first time! It was wonderful!
Do you have a funny story or something that happened in her second year that you’d like to share?
She learns these big words & phrases at the daycare and comes home & uses them in wrong situations. It’s hilarious! For example instead of “don’t do this” she says “not a toy!!!” Like if she doesn’t want to wash her hands she would yell “not a toy, not a toy”!!! 🙂
What age/month has been your favorite and why?
8 months to 2 yrs were the best time. Very cute & fun without the terrible 2’s attitude! 🙂
One word to describe your toddler is…Amazing
Favorites…Cell phone!
Animal: Poppy
Food: Rice
Toy: Puzzles & stamps
How was your experience with Crystal Jo?
Lots of fun! She is as always energetic & happy. We enjoy every photo session! 🙂
The Alexander Fam. Baby Bump.
Isn’t she absolutely stunning?! YES!
SWWWWWOOOOON!
Cute family alert!
So sweet!
Session fave. Bottom right!
Here are a few fun facts about this family….
Tell us a little about your family dynamic. How you met your husband, how long you’ve been married, names and ages of the children.
Ryan and I met through a mutual friend, not on purpose. We knew of each other but had never met. I was home for the summer while finishing my masters and Ryan was already teaching at GCHS. I was out with all my old high school friends and one of them had gone to college with Ryan. He happened to be at the same place we went out that night…. (That’s just a fancy way of saying we met at ‘Brothers’ LOL)
We have been married 6 years, together 8.
We currently have two gorgeous babies- Avery Meredith (5 years old) and Ryder Matthew (2 years old)… ONE more beautiful baby on the way (Harper Zana, due in December!)
If you could be any person for one day, who would it be?
Melissa- A stay at home mom… Love being with my babies and wish I could be with them more!
Ryan- Lebron James- he’s the greatest athlete of the present era.
Avery- “A PRINCESS!” (why?) “Because I look like a princess!”
Ryder- “Chase” (from paw patrol)
Are you more like your mom or your dad? (parents even answer this one!)
Melissa- As a parent myself, I would say I am much more my mother- the scheduler, very consistent, the disciplinarian, but the one the kids want as soon as they are tired, hurt or need ANYTHING.
Ryan- Mom, because I’m outgoing and can work for hours on end.
Avery- “I’m more like daddy because I have his eyes and we are both crazy”
Ryder- “mommy…” (why?) “my eyes” (He heard his sister’s answer first… haha)
How did you find out you were expecting?
We were specifically NOT trying that month because I always felt bad for my friends who had birthdays around Christmas. So of course, I knew we would get pregnant that month… I took a test one day after work, just to rule it out after being late… I had it on the table and waited for Ryan to come home and showed him… He said “NO WAY! It can’t be! We weren’t trying!” Then he proceeded to gloat about how strong his swimmers must be!
Avery- I went to your doctor’s appointment and saw her.
Ryder- no comment (still in denial)
What’s your favorite thing about being pregnant? Least favorite?
Melissa- My favorite thing is the 2nd trimester- feeling that baby flip and roll around… and of course when that little miracle comes out… IT’S ALL worth it! Something new with baby #3 is having an older child who understands what is going on (to an extent) Avery loves laying with me and feeling the baby move, picking out new outfits at the store so they can match, talking about holding her and how cute she is going to be. My least favorite… the 3rd trimester- constantly being uncomfortable, swelling, stretching, burning… etc.
Ryan- BEST- the excitement and buildup of having a new baby in the house. WORST- Not being able to do some of the activities we love to do.
Avery- BEST- because I really want to have a baby sister… Worst- you can’t ride roller coasters with me.
Ryder- Best- “a baby in there” Worst- “hurt you”
Did you find out your baby’s gender?
We weren’t going to at first but Avery was so insistent that if it was a boy she wanted nothing to do with it… So we found out. I had my mom go and I didn’t find out at the appointment. After she ordered cupcakes for just the 4 of us and we all took a bite together and found out… Ave was so pumped… I think Ryan and Ryder are still in denial.
Is there a nursery or shower theme you’d like to share?
Poor baby #3 gets the last and smallest bedroom so we tried to do something extra cool for her room. We broke down tons of pallets, sanded, painted and put up a very cool pallet wall. We also made a window box and mobile. A good friend of mine crocheted a matching blanket for her bedding… It’s my favorite of the 3 nurseries I’ve been able to do!
A baby is coming! What are you looking forward to the most?
Melissa- Cuddling!! Baby cuddles are the best!!
Ryan- Every stage of the kids lives have been awesome. The baby stage is exciting as well.
Avery- I’m gonna hold her and I’m gonna love her and give her kisses.
Ryder- no comment.
How was your experience with Crystal Jo?
Melissa- Awesome as always!!
Ryan- Crystal is the best- her energy and positivity make the day of pictures very easy on our family.
Avery- Good! Because I got to smile real pretty!
Ryder- no! (That’s about how he was at the shoot as well… These terrible twos are no joke!)
