The Radi Fam.
Big Kisses.
Thanks for all the fun laughs, Radi’s. XO!
Aubrey. Newborn.
Aubrey’s grandmother passed away seven years ago and this bunny was made out of grandma’s clothing. How touching.
I love you, Mom.
Some fun facts about this little gem..
What was your baby’s birth weight and length?
Baby’s birth weight and length: 9lbs 4oz, 21 inches.
Is there a story behind your baby’s name?
Aubrey was picked because Shaun and I both liked it. Her middle name, Kay, was picked because that was my moms middle name and she passed away in 2007 of leukemia.
Give us the scoop. What has surprised you the most about parenthood? Are there any funny stories or firsts that you’d like to share?
What has surprised us the most about parenthood is how easily those parenting skills come to you. At first, we were very nervous and scared about what was to come. After our first night at home with Aubrey, everything came to us easily and we were able to pick up the parenting skills as we went along.
Tell us about one of the first moments you had with your baby.
One of the firsts moments that Shaun and I enjoyed the most was giving Aubrey her first bath at home. She kicked and screamed her head off as we bathed her, but we thought she was the cutest thing on earth!
What did you like best about your experience with Crystal Jo?
I really enjoyed our first experience with Crystal because she made everything look so easy. I could tell she has that motherly instinct, knew exactly how to handle Aubrey, and to make her the most comfortable during the photo shoot. I can’t wait until Aubrey gets older and we get to come back for future sessions with crystal 🙂
Liam. Newborn.
Aubrey is now a big sister!
And she loves her little brother sooooo much!
I mean SERIOUSLY!
Daddy’s a doctor. Liam’s a bookworm. 🙂
Tell us about that first moment when you saw your baby.
Well, my labor with Baby Liam was much quicker than anticipated, especially since my labor with Big Sister was an induction. Upon arriving at the hospital, I was dilated 9+ cm with no time for an epidural, and before I knew it my doctor was in the room, and I was pushing. It was a crazy, surreal whirlwind! The moment we were told it’s a boy and saw his little face was amazing! We feel so blessed to have a little girl and boy and experience all the fun that goes along with each!
What was your baby’s birth weight and length?
Liam was 7lbs10oz and 20 in long.
Is there a story behind your baby’s name?
We always liked the name Liam even when we were pregnant with our first. We loved that it was an Irish name and we used my husbands name Daniel as Liam’s middle name.
Give us the scoop. What has surprised you the most about parenthood? Are there any funny stories or firsts that you’d like to share?
Given this is baby #2 we feel like we are a little more relaxed and comfortable since this is the second time around! Everything is not so new and foreign! The biggest challenge for us will probably be juggling the demands of two, especially when daddy goes back to work and making sure each child gets plenty of love and attention. So far Big Sister is adjusting pretty well and is extremely loving. Every chance she gets she is kissing her little brother, and that just melts our hearts!!
What did you like best about your experience with Crystal Jo?
We LOVE Crystal, we have known her for 2 1/2 years and have had the pleasure of working with her for that long! She is so sweet and goes above and beyond to capture the perfect photos! We love all the beautiful photos we have and cherish each and every session we have! We look forward to having her capture our sweet baby boy too!
Whitney. Class of 2016.
Whitney, you are STUNNING!
Give me one sentence that tells us who you are and what you are all about. Have fun with it!
“Dreams don’t work unless you do” I tell myself this every morning 🙂
List 3 songs on your musical playlist…
Burning House by Cam
Do I Wanna Know by Arctic Monkeys
Goes Without Saying by Trent Dabbs
What do you do in your free time? I am in Key Club, on student council and prom committee, and am also the backstage director of my school play, and always with friends so I stay busy!
What is your favorite memory from High School?
My senior homecoming and meeting my boyfriend freshmen year 🙂
What are you plans for post graduation?
I want to be a bobcat and attend Ohio University next fall.
What do you wanna be when you “grow up”?
I would like to be a special education teacher.
How was your experience with Crystal Jo? And if you have a favorite memory/thing with Crystal Jo Foto, please share.
My experience with Crystal Jo was great! I am not someone who feels comfortable in front of a camera but Crystal makes it feel easy and natural to relax and have fun with the shoot. My favorite memory was when I had to walk in a field for a picture and thought this is crazy! Those pictures are my mom’s favorite from the whole shoot.
The Bertino Fam. Baby Bump.
Big belly. Big kisses. Henry has his shirt up too. 🙂
Weeeeeeeeee.
Erin, this is the photo Ben took when he was playing photographer with my camera!
Fun facts about the Bertino family…
Tell us something fun or unique about your relationship. - We’ve known each other since high school and had many mutual friends, started dating in college and the rest is history! Also I think it’s cool that my husband is one of 8 children (I’m one of 4) so we both came from big families and wanted kids.
How did you find out you were expecting? Took a home pregnancy test after noticing more fatigue – had to check twice to get a positive result!
What’s your favorite thing about being pregnant? Least favorite? My favorite part is feeling the baby move and planning for a new sibling. The least favorite would be all the physical stuff, especially the swelling and numbness in my hands. But I can’t complain too much, no significant nausea!
Did you find out your baby’s gender? Oh yes, we’re planners – it’s a girl this time! It was a pleasant surprise, I was anticipating boy #3.
Is there a nursery or shower theme you’d like to share? Purple is my favorite color so my mother in law decorated the nursery for me – it’s lovely, lavender and white with girly accents. The room glows purple!
A baby is coming! What are you looking forward to the most? Bonding with my healthy new baby girl and seeing my boys enjoy their new sister. They’re very excited. Also…maternity leave from work!
How did you find Crystal Jo? She’s been photographing our family for several years now – I initially found her through work and high school friends – at this point, she’s done everything from my little sister’s wedding to my kids and our baby bumps.
Elise. Baby Bump.
I had the pleasure of photographing Elise and Dennis’ wedding a few years ago. Now I get to watch them become parents. <3
Woot! A shout out to Blowdry Cafe for doing this beautiful hair and make-up. Ladies, it’s totally worth the investment to get some pampering before your photo session! Mention Crystal Jo Foto at check-out for some savings on your services.
The baby shower theme was books. All of the guests brought books and wrote a message to the baby. How cute is that?!
A future reader in that bump. Readers make leaders.
And where the sidewalk ends, you will find these two lovebirds with a bundle on the way.
I know you will rock it out, Elise! I’ll see you real soon at the hospital. XO!
Some fun facts about this adorable couple..
How did you find out you were expecting?
We were planning the baby for around the time Elise finished graduate school, and the timing was perfect! Nothing special about the way we found out, but we couldn’t be more excited!
What’s your favorite thing about being pregnant? Least favorite?
My favorite part of being pregnant is definitely feeling him move. It’s so much fun to feeling him kicking around! Least favorite has probably been the reflux… and feeling so huge in the last few weeks! It has been fun, but I’m ready for it to be over so we can meet our baby.
Did you find out your baby’s gender?
Yes we did, we are planners and the stress of not knowing was too much!
Is there a nursery or shower theme you’d like to share?
We tried to keep the nursery neutral, but it’s all about books! The shower was book-themed, so everyone brought a favorite book for the baby and wrote a note on the inside. It’s so special to have so many books that mean so much! We can’t wait to read them to him.
A baby is coming! What are you looking forward to the most?
We are looking forward to meeting him! We are excited for everything!
How did you find Crystal Jo?
Crystal Jo did our wedding photography 4 years ago. We are excited to have her capture this next chapter in our lives!
Amanda + Jim. Maternity
How STUNNING is this tiny pregnant lady?! Amanda, you look amazing. And I just love your fun, cute personality. Jim, you’re not so bad yourself. 🙂
He makes her laugh.
Guess what? It’s a girl!
Read up future dads! From Dude To Dad.
Ohhhhhh, I LOVE THIS SO MUCH. It was seriously pouring down rain an hour before the session. Amanda so calmly said she did not want to reschedule for rain. “We’ll just give it a try.” She brought this blanket for the wet ground. Isn’t it perfect?!
And they brought their pup Cassie. (I hope I’m spelling that correctly.) Most obedient dog I’ve ever photographed, hands down.
Another session fave. Amanda hiked it across town to follow the pretty light.
And how worth it, it was!
Thirsty girl, watching Mommy.
September is here. Which means fall is near. Don’t fear, Amanda will steer away from all of the pumpkin beer. She’s made it quite clear, caramel apples are what makes this baby bump cheer.
Yes, her cravings are caramel apples. Very unique craving, if you ask me. That and baked beans. 🙂
Tell us something fun or unique about your relationship.
Jim & I have been together for 7 years now. We originally met when he was coaching junior varsity soccer at the high school I was working at as an Athletic Trainer. I remember the first day we met he pulled up into the parking lot on his all black motorcycle and all I could think was “ Oh my, how sexy! Who is that?” He shortly thereafter introduced himself to me, and he’s been racing through my heart ever since! We are just two crazy kids that started off as friends and developed into a beautiful “US.” We complement each other well and you could say that he truly is the cheese to my macaroni! Now, we are getting ready to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary this December (of course after welcoming the birth of our daughter!) The journey has been beyond exciting thus far, getting better and better along the way and we eagerly wait for what’s in store for us next!
How did you find out you were expecting?
I had actually taken a pregnancy test about three days before that was negative. As I was coming home from a meeting I just remember my boobs hurt so bad! (Mommas you know what I’m talking about!) So I figured, what the heck, I’ll just take one more, just in case! I must have stared at that stick for about 10 minutes in disbelief. It is pretty funny that when you are trying to get pregnant, you can’t wait to see that “Pregnant” on your test, but then when you actually do, you are in such shock that yes, you do pee on several more sticks (3) just in case the first one was wrong!
What’s your favorite thing about being pregnant? Least favorite?
My absolute favorite thing about being pregnant is feeling the baby move or kick. Veteran mommies explain the bubbles or butterflies they felt which gets you excited, but there is nothing like when you feel it inside your belly for the first time. It has also been so absolutely wonderful seeing how my husband and I have developed such an undeniable and selfless love and excitement for this little being that’s not even here yet!
While I feel that I cannot really complain about my pregnancy, I can definitely understand the points where mommas get tired of being pregnant! I never had that pregnancy glow, and I never felt like I had a great surge in pregnancy that people talk about in the second trimester. But I wouldn’t trade the breakouts, excessive pee breaks, sickness, and aches & pains for anything else in the world!
Did you find out your babies gender?
I am 100% a planner. We would have been happy with a boy or girl, but for us, finding out we are having a little girl ended up being a blessing in disguise. We haven’t had to buy one outfit since everyone else gets so excited to dress up little girls! Now our little lady has a full wardrobe and will be dressed to the nines!
A baby is coming! What are you looking forward to the most?
We are excited to just meet our little pumpkin. As scary as it is to think of ourselves as new parents we are looking forward to those little things like seeing dad and baby sleeping on the couch, that first little smile or baby laugh. It melts my heart just thinking about all the great things we have to look forward to!
How did you find Crystal Jo
I have a great friend at work that had a baby a few years back and has all these cute and creative pictures of her daughter on her work locker. Once we found out we were expecting, I had to know who did her photos! It was Crystal Jo and after looking through Crystal Jo’s website I was sold! She was able to capture all the fun, love, and beauty that makes up our family in these amazing photos!
The Kennedy Fam. Baby Bump.
What a gorgeous family on a gorgeous summer night. Ashley, I hope you have a gorgeous birth story. I can’t wait to meet Baby #2 and I’m very honored to document another Kennedy babe. XO!
Checking for Baby K’s heartbeat.
Guess who is going to be a BIG sister soon… OHHHHHHhhhhhh, Aubrey!
Session fave on the right. STUNNING, Ashley!
Some fun facts about The Kennedy Fam…
Tell us something fun or unique about your relationship with Dan and your life.
Dan & I met over 8 years ago while we were both working at the hospital. I was finishing my ultrasound clinicals, and he was still in his radiolody residency. This is where our love story began….
We truly complete each other, and over the years our love has grown even stronger! Not to mention we make an awesome team as we tackle everyday life tasks while raising an energetic toddler, knowing that it’s going get even busier with another bundle arriving just around the corner! Since the birth of our daughter Aubrey, I have been a stay at home mother. This was the best decision I could’ve ever made. These times truly go by so fast, and I cherish each and everyday with her! We just came up on our four year wedding anniversary. It’s amazing what has all happened in those years. Between moving, Dan starting his career, building our dream home, the birth of our daughter & now #2 on the way I couldn’t feel more blessed and excited to be going through this amazing journey of life with you! We are looking forward to everything that lies ahead with lots of memories along the way!
How did you find out you were expecting?
We definitely knew we wanted more kids and also wanted them to be close in age. The second time around that positive test happened much quicker! Of course getting a positive test is always a little shocking, although we were definitely ready and all on board!
What’s your favorite thing about being pregnant? Least favorite?
I honestly love being a pregnant! With both of my pregnancies I have had wonderful experiences and have thoroughly enjoyed them. It is such a miraculous experience and blessing in every way. My favorite things would have to be watching my belly grow & of course feeling all the squirms and wiggles! I would probably have to say this time around nearing the end with a growing belly and feeling more tired, it’s been a little harder. Having to now care for a toddler, which is always a ball of energy and ready to go at all times, definitely makes for an exhausting day!
Did you find out your baby’s gender?
We have chosen again to not find out the gender. In our eyes it doesn’t matter at all, and there really is no way to express the feeling and experience you have when the surprise is finally revealed! It makes for some fun throughout the pregnancy too, as family and friends are always guessing!;) There are not many surprises in life and with this being one we wouldn’t have it any other way! With Dan being a Radiologist and myself an ultrasound technologist people are always amazed and shocked that we don’t find out considering it would be pretty easy to know very early on. Honestly, a healthy baby is all we want!
Is there a nursery or shower theme you’d like to share?
Since the gender will be a surprise we plan to decorate and do the nursery after baby’s arrival. I’m either decorating ALL boy or ALL girl with nothing gender neutral here!;) Either way I have lots of ideas and plans in mind! It will be fun, and we look forward to decorating baby’s room.
A baby is coming! What are you looking forward to the most?
I would have to say finally getting to meet this sweet baby and giving him or her lots of love and snuggles! We are also super excited for Aubrey to meet her brother or sister, and watching her become a big sister too! We just know she will do great! Seeing them meet for the first time will be priceless and just melt my heart! There will be tears shed!
How did you find Crystal Jo?
After relocating to Columbus from Cleveland we found Crystal and have hung on to her ever since! She documented my first pregnancy, as well as documented our baby girl as she changed and grew through the months. Crystal is the sweetest, oh so very talented and just loves what she does! We cherish everything you have captured for us, and we are beyond excited for you to document this next bundle as well! XOXO
