Thumbs up, dude.
Sweetie Pie!
Session fave!
Oh, no way…
JT’s face…
Thanks to everyone that came out. XO!
Caitlyn and Tony. Married.
This was Caitlyn’s first look with her father. I just love his reaction. He’s so proud and happy.
And then the Bride and Groom’s first look. I love these moments.
Family photo! Woof!
Tony, I’m diggin’ your hair style. F’real.
Notice Cate’s something blue?
They got married at Jorgensen’s Farm in Westerville. The PERFECT location for this laid back, country couple.
One of my ultimate favorite laying-down photos.
Stunning!
Sisters forever and always.
Seriously. Cutest flower girls EVER.
Super hero socks. LOVE IT!
The ceremony was one to remember. You’ll see why soon but just check out the sky in this photo right as the guys are walking out…
Here comes my Auntie! Priceless.
I adore brooch bouquets. She had a cowboy boot front and center. 🙂
Caitlyn’s mother and brother on the left…
So much emotion just right here.
Yes, son, she’s all yours.
The fabric blowing in the wind as the storm was coming.
Caitlyn looking up at the sky. PLEASE DON’T RAIN ON MY PARADE!
And it did. And really did make it that much more magical.
We put plastic bags over our cameras and carried on.
CONGRATS YOU TWO!
Hurry. Let’s get out of here!
Caitlyn changed her kicks for some dancing shoes.
Married!
I love this photo because you can see one of the caterers in the back room clapping as the couple was being announced.
I don’t typically post photos of food but it was THAT good!
The chandeliers and twinkle lights lit up the barn.
Caitlyn’s dance with her father was one of the most emotional dances I’ve ever seen. So touching.
Meg, the bridesmaid on the left is a Jo Foto bride. Love you, Meg. Way to kick cancers butt!
Caitlyn and Tony, thank you so very much for the great honor of photographing your GORGEOUS day. Your attention to every detail was nothing short of amazing. Your families were wonderful and were constantly asking us if we needed anything. We felt very welcome. I wish you ten billion years of happiness and love. XOXOXOXO, Crystal Jo
Behind the scenes with Crystal Jo Foto. Where all the fun happens. 🙂
Tasha, you look pretty in green. 🙂 As always, thank you so much for all of your help and beautiful photos. XO!
Looking for something? (Yes, that’s how windy it really was!)
Heel clicks!
Tony, you’re my fave!
So this is how we get the veil blowing shots.

What was the most memorable moment of your day?
Bride: I absolutely loved every part of the whole day but I would have to say that I have two very memorable moments that I don’t think I will be forget anytime soon:
1) During the Maid of Honor speech my best friend said that she is happy I found someone to put up with all my ‘sass’ and just about every person in the crowd thought she said ‘sex’ including some of the groomsmen!!! HAHA
2) A guy that I work with was getting a little too low on the dance floor and split his pants right down the seam on his leg. I was almost in tears as he opened the tear to tell everyone that’s way he wore black underwear!!!!
Groom: The first look.
What was your favorite detail?
Bride: I would have to say that my favorite detail would have been my yellow chuck taylors. My Aunt passed away from lung cancer this past November and chucks were her shoe of choice. A lot of people always said that I was a lot like her so it was hard not having here there for the wedding. Wearing my chucks was my way of having a little piece of my Aunt there with me.
Groom: The Groomsmen socks. It was kind of a last minute thing but I’m glad we decided to add that little touch to spice things up.
Any advice for future bride/grooms?
Bride: Wedding planning is supposed to be fun. Make sure that you don’t stress about things too much. Enjoy the whole process from booking your venue to finishing up your program 4 days before the wedding. It can be a lot of stress to plan such a big event but in the end it’s all worth it to see all the people that you love and care about there to celebrate your new life as man and wife.
Groom: Help your fiance out as much as you can. To be honest you probably aren’t going to be allowed to help out too much with the small details but the one’s that your asked to help with make sure that you put 100% into it.
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Bride: I honestly don’t know if I would change a thing. I wish that it could have been longer but I’m extremely happy with the way that everything turned out.
Groom: Nothing at all. It was great.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We went on a cruise to the Western Caribbean (Haiti, Jamaica, Cayman Islands and Cozumel)
How was your experience with Crystal Jo Foto?
Bride: Crystal is absolutely amazing!! We have been able to see her photograph many weddings of Friends and family and always knew that she was going to be the photographer that we wanted. She makes everything so much fun and she is wonderful at getting that natural smile out of people.
Groom: The best part about the wedding day was the fact that she kept trying to be like Marilyn Monroe. It was a little windy on the day of our wedding so she was having some trouble keeping her dress down during pictures and was determined to moon the bridal party!! lol I definitely keep things entertaining the whole time for all of us.
Carly and Gino. Married
Now that’s ONE emergency kit! The Mother-of-the-Bride put this together. Could you imagine how much planning this took?! Gum, band-aids, nail clippers, eye glass cleaner, bobby pins (which I used, thanks Nina!), hair spray, deodorant, eye drops, lint remover, ibuprofen, nail polish, q-tips, needle and thread…I mean, the list goes on and on.
Carly. YOU. ARE. GORGEOUS. Inside and out. Ohhhhh, I just adore you!
And Gino. I’m digging your dapper look. And your earring. 🙂
This awesome couple opted to see each other before the ceremony. I love it when folks do this. It really makes the day much more relaxed. And we went to some really cool photo locations! Stay tuned..
You are both adorable together, that’s for sure.
Pretty parents AND happily married. Amazing. This photo is an all time fave!
Carly’s siblings and soccer players.
Boys will be boys.
Swoon. I love this too. Would be beautiful as a large 30×40 canvas over their bed. YES! Do it, Carly!
At the top of the stairs…
After photos we headed to The Women’s Center in Canton where the ceremony was held. It was a very unique historical house. All of the rooms were decorated with different themes.
This is her mother, Nina, a very dear gymnastics judging friend of mine. (Nina, you looked STUNNING!) They shared a moment right before the ceremony.
Walking down the stairs to marry the man of her dreams.
The house they were married in. Cool, huh?!
DON’T YOU DARE even think about it..
The reception location had TV’s all around the ballroom with a live feed so guests that were’t sitting very close could enjoy speeches, toasts and dances. We even put together a same-day slideshow of photos from pre-ceremony and ceremony. It was a BIG hit!
Carly and Gino. Thank you so very much for inviting me to photograph your very special day. I will remember it forever. Thank you for being so kind, full of love and SUPER relaxed. You are both a joy to be around and I only hope you share a gazillion beautiful years together. XOXO! Crystal Jo

Fun Questions about this awesome couple..
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
Bride: Everything. Every day I remember something else that makes me laugh or smile.
Groom: Seeing Carly for the first time and reading the name change documentation
What was your favorite detail?
Bride: The cookie bar, every one worked so hard to help make the cookies (me, my mom, Gino’s mom, Gino’s grandma, and a friend of the family), and the containers, and displaying them I thought they looked and tasted great.
Groom: Cookies. Spumoni for only me
Any advice for future bride/grooms?
Bride: Make sure you do things for you, this is a day for you and your fiancé to celebrate and enjoy each other, I know it’s hard, but stand up for the things you really want, and learn say “no” when you need to.
Groom: Box out your parents and plan the wedding you want. Plan for less food, not more.
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Bride: ABSOLUTELY NOT. Honestly I think things went well and turned out better than expected.
Groom: I would have a limo with air conditioning, I would have made my bow-tie tighter
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Bride: We didn’t…Gino and I both have crazy work schedules, but the plan is to go on a trip sometime in the next year.
Groom: Work
How was your experience with Crystal Jo Foto? If you have a favorite memory with her, please share it.
Bride: It was the best, cause she’s the best! Favorite memories: Her getting excited at both the locations I picked for pictures and watching the slideshow, and everyone telling me how great the pictures were (because she’s the best).
Groom: It was Jawsome. Crystal takes great photos. I’m glad Crystal did not make me lay on the ground in my tux. (Crystal Jo: Bahahah, this made me laugh, Gino!)
Kayti and Jonathan. Married.
Emily, Kayti’s beautiful matron on honor is a Jo Foto bride. And she so kindly spreads her Crystal Jo Foto love all around because this is not the first referral we’ve received from her. We love you, Emily!
Kayti and Jonathan live in Texas and the chose to get married in Kayti’s hometown church in Marysville.
This was the first time her Kayti’s father saw her. LOVE!
Isn’t she just STUNNING?!
Proud parents…
Brooch bouquet with special pieces from family.
Including Grandma….
…who was an honorary BRIDESMAID! HOW COOL IS THAT?!
Necklaces, earrings, dresses, flowers…matchy match. Great combos!
A prayer before she walks down the aisle.
Notice the brooches on the pew decor. I’ve never seen this before.
Cutie ring bearer did NOT want to let go of Daddy!
Great capture, Roberta! The Groom serenading the Bride in the photo on the right. REFLECTION!
Jonathan, YOU’RE AWESOME!
Ohmaaaahhhhgooodness. These. LOVE THESE.
Photo on the right, Kayti’s idea. Notice her shoes..
Adore you guys. True love, right here!
The cake included their three pups.
Their faces..
Her shoes though!
We ditched 20 twelve-year-olds just coming from the swimming pool to jump in this elevator. Mission Accomplished. Behind the scenes with Crystal Jo Foto. Yes, you know it. Where ALL of the fun happens…
Emily, thank you for being a chair for Kayti IN YOUR GOWN! This is why you are my GIRL! And yes, I’m crazy, I know this.
Roberta, thank you so much for coming out to play! We had a BLAST together! Can’t wait until next time. XO!

Fun facts about their day..
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
Bride – My grandpa gave me the advice to lock eyes with Jonathan on my way down the aisle. It was something my grandma did to him, and he remembers it to this day. I took his advice and it was the greatest moment, and one that I’ll never forget. Oh, and my matron of honor praying for fertility before we went to the ceremony. ;p
Groom- Seeing Kayti come down the aisle.
What was your favorite detail?
Bride – My dress and veil.
Any advice for future bride/grooms?
Bride – We really thought 100% of guests would show, since we kept our number small and it was all close family and friends, but 10 of 107 didn’t show. So, apparently it’s really true that about 10% won’t make it. And we’d already paid for them!
Groom- No advice 🙂
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Bride – I’d tell the staff to not cut all the cake. Apparently, not everyone ate it or wanted it but they passed it out anyway… so we didn’t have anything left over except for the top layer. Oh, and I’d listen better! I missed the last call for the photo booth! :'(
Groom- I wouldn’t use Men’s Warehouse. We called, stopped by, and the one we used in Texas still messed up and didn’t send my tux to Ohio. And the shirt they said was fitted.. didn’t fit.
Where did you go on your honeymoon? We’re going to Hawaii now that the school year is over! We’ll be in Maui.
How was your experience with Crystal Jo Foto?
We loved it. Crystal Jo made everything really easy and was fun to work with.
Cail and Jordan. Married.

And here’s dapper Jordan.
With his handsome fellas.
Head pieces. To die for!
GORGEOUS!!!
Cail and Jordan have been together since grade school.
Cail, your attention to detail…impeccable.
Beautiful Momma alert!
The kids in the background on the left. LOOK!
Love this!
Pockets…
Seriously, Cail, you are GORG!
Their idea. 🙂
Best MOH ever, right here! Future brides, she’s for rent if you are looking…
Wedding favorite…
Cail, THIS is why I love you!
Grandma didn’t leave the dance floor! She was SO much fun.
I wonder if she’s for rent, too. Could start a business. For rent, Grandma who is the life of the party.
Jordan put the garter on a football. The football said “You’re Next” on it. Awesome idea!
The dance floor was like this ALL NIGHT!
Fun foto booth!
And the last song, huge group circle around the newlyweds. Brought a tear to my eye, the emotion in the room was so special.
Congrats, Cail and Jordan. I wish you nothing but the very BEST. You both are beautiful souls and are going to thrive together. XOXO! Crystal Jo
Behind the scenes. Where all of the magic happens!
Faye, thanks for driving in from Dayton to second shoot with me. Your work is beautiful and I’m so very grateful we met years ago at BBMK workshop. XO, Momma!
I love it when people can get a little crazy in a tux. Be themselves. Be real. (Faye, in the reflection. :))
High fives for FUN people!
Jonah, you are a ball. Thanks for putting up with my bad jokes all day. JONAS BROTHER!

Their memories…
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
Cail: My most memorable moment of the day was probably standing in the doorway of the hotel with my dad getting ready to walk across the way to the Ballroom. My nerves REALLY kicked in and I could feel my heart beating in my stomach! As soon as I walked through the doors into the ceremony my nerves were totally gone and it was the most amazing realization that our day was finally here!
Jordan: Dancing with my beautiful bride to piano man while all of our friends gathered around us
What was your favorite detail?
Cail: My favorite detail of our wedding was the dancing at our reception. It was EXACTLY what I wanted and our guests had such a fun time! Everyone danced the night away and we all felt a little bummed when it came to an end!
Jordan: Nothing in particular. Every detail was perfect.
Any advice for future bride/grooms?
Cail: My advice for a future Bride would be to be proactive and not procrastinate! I am such a “planner” that doing things ahead of schedule just comes natural to me but it really did save me a lot of stress and money by getting things done as soon as possible! The week of the wedding was just final details so I was able to relax and get pampered the week leading up to our wedding! Also make sure everyone in your bridal party know’s exactlywhere to be at what time, because no matter how many time’s you tell them you’ll always have a few people go M.I.A!!
Jordan: Enjoy every minute. This is the only time this same group of people will ever be in a room together again.
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Cail: I don’t think I would have changed anything, except maybe extending our reception another hour longer (hahaha) the day really does fly by! It turned out beautifully though and it was such as great feeling to see all this time, effort, and planning come together in such an amazing celebration. We spent so much time on our honeymoon just reminiscing on our special day. It was perfect, and I can still barely wrap my mind around the fact that I’m married to my best friend!
Jordan: I would have paid the DJ until midnight
Where did you go on your honeymoon? We went to Jamaica. We stayed at Couples Tower Isle in Ocho Rios and absolutely LOVED IT! We were already talking about our second trip while on our honeymoon. I would highly recommend to any newlyweds looking for a fabulous vacation!
How was your experience with Crystal Jo Foto? Our experience with Crystal Jo Foto was awesome! We had fun while taking the pictures and our bridal party did too! She was great at getting the shot and then moving on so we didn’t feel like it was taking forever. I would highly recommend Crystal Jo Foto. She did our engagement pics as well and is highly talented and a blast to work with!!
Emma. One Year Big.
#1 Cowgirl, right here…
She came all the way from Cleveland. Grandma rode in the back seat to entertain her. Gotta get a photo with Grandma! She’s a living doll with a love for horses and boots. Yee Haw. Kind of fitting that I met her Momma at Jamboree in the Hills, huh?! Thanks for making the trek down, Jamie. XO!
Some fun facts about little Miss Emma…
What is your favorite memory during her first year of life? There has been so many! Daddy’s favorite was first holding her in the hospital and staring at her, thinking how beautiful she is. Mommy’s is the first time she came up and gave me a hug!
Do you have a funny story or something that happened in her first year that you’d like to share? She loves to dance. The first time we realized this was when the “Honest Co.” commercial came on. She danced along with the babies on tv. Cutest thing ever!
What age/month has been your favorite and why? While we have loved them all, 6 to 12 months has been the most exciting. Watching her learn and grow. From sitting up, to crawling, to walking and now running. Then you have the little coos to mini words. Cannot forget the facial expressions! We get everything from a smile to a mean scowling look. Lol
One word to describe your baby is… Perfect!
Favorites…
Animal: Cat (until mommy gets her to the barn more) 😉
Food: Spaghetti, greek yogurt
Toy: a pink musical pony
Chase and Lucas. One Year Big.
Proud big sister on the right!
The hats.. <3
It’s time for smash cake.
But please not this hat, Mommmmmmmmmy!
Thank you!
One Year in a flash! Two babies in Mommy’s belly…
Newborn snuggles.
3 Months..
6 Months..
9 Months..
I adore you both SO very much and I’m so honored to document your little personalities! Big kisses!! Crystal Jo
Some fun facts about these adorable twins..
What is your favorite memory during their first year of life?
Ha! Let’s pretend like I remember much of the last year! Actually, I love being a twin mommy – my favorite memories are when they started noticing each other and interacting with each other. They interact with each other all the time now, but when they first did, and would laugh at each other, it was just too cute.
Kendall Kay. Newborn.
We’ve anticipated your arrival for quite some time now! Even if you did arrive early, I was eager to see if you are a little boy or a little girl. GIRL!
Stunning, Kendall. You are just stunning!
I just found this one from the hospital session and fell in love. “It’s okay, Ma, I got this!” If you’d like to see the rest of the hospital session, click HERE.
Tell us about that first moment when you saw your baby.
I thought she looked a lot like Kinley and we immediately fell in love again. Chris saw her first and he was just happy to hear her sweet cry!
What was your baby’s birth weight and length? 6lbs 10 oz, 19in
Is there a story behind your baby’s name? No, we both agreed 🙂 she actually didn’t have a name for a couple hours. Her middle name is Kay which is my mom’s middle name. Our other daughter’s middle name is Chris’s mom’s middle name.
Give us the scoop. What has surprised you the most about parenthood? Are there any funny stories or firsts that you’d like to share? Nothing has surprised us about Kendall besides her early arrival. What surprises us is how we thought we were “busy” with a newborn the last time. Our “busy” now is trying to keep our toddler busy, fed, and keeping Kendall protected from Kinley’s mothering desires. Haha.
What did you like best about your experience with Crystal Jo?
Where do we begin?!? Our house is full of her work and we love looking at it daily. From our engagement, wedding, maternity photos to now our growing family, we are so happy to have Crystal helping is preserve these special times. (Thanks, Rowe Fam, I adore you all SO much!)
Liam. Newborn.
No way. Thinking pose at only one week old. He’s gonna be a smart one!
Momma snuggles are the best.
I bought this repurposed bench a few years ago at one of Zassy’s Barn Sales. It’s in our mudroom. I walked by it the other day and thought, hmm, a newborn would be pretty adorable on that! Agree?
Some fun facts about baby Liam from Momma…
The first moment we saw the baby was a bit scary as he wasn’t breathing right. However, once that scare was behind us, we were excited that he had finally arrived and the biggest surprise for the both of us: his reddish blond hair! Liam weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces and was 20 inches long.
