The Guitar Fam.

When Momma is the biggest bookworm ever… books come out during the session. Love it!  And the book matches the stuffies which match their outfits.  Now that’s some planning!  Lindsey sells books too…how fun!

I can’t describe to you how much I adore this family.  SO SO SOOOOOO MUCH!

Tell us a little about your family dynamic. How you met your husband, how long you’ve been married, names and ages of the children.

Our journey started a long time ago. We were first friends in middle school and became high school sweet hearts. He followed me to Michigan State University and I followed him to Ohio. We celebrated our 11th anniversary on October 2nd. We have 2 beautiful children- Gabe (5) and Annabelle (2.5).

Do you have any hidden talents or something unique to you?
Jim’s hidden talent is movie quotes and knowledge! Lindsey’s is her math skills!
Gabe and Annabelle are both really good at swimming.

What’s one thing you want to learn to do?
Jim would like to learn to play the guitar.
Lindsey would like to learn sign language.
Annabelle would like to learn letters at her own school.
Gabe wants to learn how to play soccer.

If you had a $100 bill in your back pocket to spend on whatever you’d like, you’d buy…
Jim – garage stuff
Lindsey – a night out with the girls.
Gabe – a motorcycle.
Annabelle… also a motorcycle because she’s a little mimic.

Describe the perfect weekend.
Jim – Working outside in the yard and garage.
Lindsey – A family trip to have fun (like hocking hills)
Gabe says going to visit Grandma and Grandpa.
Annabelle says play baseball.

Are you more like your mom or your dad? (parents even answer this one!)
Annabelle is more like mommy.
Gabe is more like daddy.
Jim is more like his mom.
Lindsey is more like her mom.

What did your family like best about your experience with Crystal Jo?
She’s like meeting up with a friend. The kids love her and it makes every picture session fun and easy!

More Mila. Columbus Family Photography

Louis, Kathryn and Mila.

Session fave!

I love the movement here!

More fun facts about this adorable fam…

Louis and I met almost 6 years ago in Columbus. We are happily unmarried life partners : ) We are both from the Cleveland area. I grew up 20 minutes west of Cleveland, Louis grew up 20 minutes east. We are huge sports fans, all Cleveland sports and of course Ohio State. Mila will be 3 on December 1st. She already LOVES her birthday as well as everyone else’s. She frequently reminds us that it will be her birthday soon (even 9 months out) and wants to know when everyone else’s birthday is too.

Describe the perfect weekend.
Our perfect weekends in the summer include being on a boat and soaking up the sun. Mila caught her first fish on Lake Erie this summer. In the fall and winter it’s all about tailgating and going to sporting events.

If you could be anyone for one day…
If Louis could be anyone for a day, he would be Elon Musk and take a spin around space for the day! If Mila could be anyone for a day she would like to be her best friend from school Daphne. When I asked her why she shared because Daphne gets to go to stores : )

Are you most like your Mom or Dad?
I would say Mila is most like mom as she has already picked up on saying my favorite things such as “Dad is driving crazy”, “Slow down dad”, “Dad why did you make this mess” : )

If you found $100 in your back pocket, how would you spend it?
After working for DSW for 15 years, I’ve got to say if I had $100 it would probably go towards more shoes. Mom, Dad and Mila all probably have too many! Somehow a “normal” trip to DSW never ends with less than 5 or 6 new pairs! Louis however said he would probably buy crypto (but hopefully that investment just leads to more shoes!)

Our session with Crystal was so amazing! Lots of obstacles with weather, a clingy 2 year old, and someone’s hair always being out of place but Crystal was so calm, patient, and helpful getting us posed well and looking put together! ❤ She was creative in her vision during the session and did not cut any corners in helping to make sure we ended up with incredible photos!

Don’t you smile. Columbus Family Photography

The Maul Family.

I’d like to call this photo… WHAT DID WE GET OURSELVES INTO?!

Tell us about your family..
12 years married on October 24th. Met working together at Huntington Bank. He was my boss for alittle while, dont tell haha. Kathryn will be 5 in December. Isaac will be 3 in february.

What did your family like best about your experience with Crystal Jo?
Loved the session, making it fun even in the rain, Kathryn loved how you said…”dont you smile!” 🙂

Are you more like your mom or your dad?
I’m more like my mom
Isaac is like me, more timid
Kathryn is more adventurous like greg
Greg is like his dad

Do you have any hidden talents or something unique to you?
Greg is great at allll sports. He played baseball in college, i played volleyball in college. He actually likes to run now. I love step aerobics, old school.

Kathryn is a great swimmer and just started gymnastics. She would say she is a great crafter.

Isaac loves all vehicles or anything with wheels. And is a mama’s boy as you saw.

If you had a $100 bill in your back pocket to spend on whatever you’d like, you’d buy…
We would save the $100 or spend it on the kiddos.

Describe the perfect weekend.
Perfect weekend by the pool or beach somewhere south.
