Drew. 9 Months Big.
His momma wanted something fun and creative for his nine month shoot. I love creative freedom and I LOVE FUN.
It’s almost summer…how about a lemonade stand to get us in the mood!
Drew’s Lemonade Stand. Only 5 cents a glass.
I love his eyes here. So pretty.
Isn’t he adorable!?
Come get a glass. It’s fresh!
Num. Num. Num.
Little fingers. Little wonders.
He was SO scared of the grass. He stayed in this frozen position until we put something under him. So innocent. Do you remember the first time you put your baby in grass?
Made just for you, by Drew.
I had a great time putting together all of the little details for this shoot. The ONLY thing I had to buy was the lemons and the sugar cookies. Everything else came from the craft box and around the house.
Would you like your very own lemonade stand? Book your mini session today! Limited availability.
The Rackliff Family.
Herb, Elizabeth, Ethan and Ryan.
Get this… Herb is the general manager at the Hyatt in Cincinnati. So the Rackliff’s live in a suite at the hotel. Elizabeth hasn’t had to clean a toilet it over four years! How fabulous would daily maid service be?!
They will soon be relocating to Canada. Of course, a fun family session is a MUST before going north.
Ethan. I had to think of TONS of games for this little dude. He was on to my trickery. I got the most smiles and laughs when I told him not to smile and laugh. Hey, whatever works.
Ryan. Big cutie.
My fave on the left. FUN!
And I love this one too. Brotherly love.
I’ve honestly never been happier in my whole entire life. Oh, and I barely have time to do my hair or my makeup. Isn’t it great?! YES. Yes, it is.
My very first Mother’s Day. I will remember it forever.
Family loveliness. And lots of it. That’s what I had this weekend. My best cousin (and by best cousin, I mean best friend and she happens to be my cousin) lives in Cincinnati. My Momma Mia was in North Carolina and Jason was on a four wheeling trip so Pixie Pie and I had our first road trip down to visit my cousin and her family. They just moved into a HUGE beautiful house. I thought I was going to go down and help her unpack, but when I walked in everything was all put together. So we had a fabulous cookout and watched the men set up the trampoline as the kids ran around. They were SO excited to get on that trampoline. Addie Mae (my cousins ten month old) and Pixie Jo were cuddled and loved on soooo much. They napped and pooed and played. We laughed and shared stories and ate strawberry shortcake. A great day to say the least. Then in the evening, after jumping on the tramp, we headed to Ikea, where we tried very VERY hard to keep the cash in the wallet. It didn’t work. A GREAT Mother’s Day with some awesome mommas.
Here’s Ash getting her Mother’s Day lovin’ from her family.
Cover your eyes, Mom. It’s a surprise.
Yay! A hair straightener. As if she’ll have time to do that hair with three kids running around. Dream on Sister Sledge. Pfft.
Our girls. Six months apart. Just like Ash and I.
Addie can’t go anywhere without her iPhone.
Awwww…..I love these SO SO much.
Addie Mae loves her cousin!
And Pixie Jo loves her back.
The trampoline is up! I forgot how much fun these things are. I did some flips! It’s been years…and my bladder is NOT the same as it once was!
Aunt Fris and Pixie Pie. Family is so awesome.
No, I had no time for make -up.
On the way to Cinci, I stopped at the store to grab some breakfast and drop off Jason’s dry cleaning. He needed his patrol uniform for Tuesday morning. I remembered Sunday. Yikes, hurry to the store!
So while carrying her into the store, plus two bags of clothes, I ran over to the produce section to grab some pre-sliced apples. The bags of laundry were getting all twisted around my arm and cutting off my circulation. So here I am standing in the middle of the grocery store with 13 pounds of baby on one arm and 20 pounds of clothes on the other. Yes, I dropped the apples. All over the floor. The poor grocery store clerk. She stood there for ten minutes trying to help me unspin the string from the laundry bag from my now purple arm.
No, I had no time for make-up.
The happy couple.
Yay…Ikea! Raise your hand if you love this store. See…Pixie does.
Ry carried this scrub brush around the whole store. It was quite entertaining for him. He “scrubbed” everything he saw. Kids are hilarious.
Pixie wrote this beautiful poem, made her OWN footprints with pretty pink paint, cut and glued it on cute paper AND went to the post office in North Carolina to mail this to me so I could open it on Mother’s Day. Isn’t that so sweet of HER? (Love you Mom!)
Look at these beautiful burp cloths from my dear sister, Deana. LOVE!
And this beautiful blanket for my girl. LOVE times ten.
My hubs knows me best.
I get so excited to hang flowers on the porch. Thank you for this pretty plant, Aunt Fris. Love you!
Our Mommy + Me photo session with Tasha Braniff Photography. These make my heart SO warm!
It is Mother’s Day. So, I’ll share a few of my faves of my beautiful Mother. My hero. The woman I look up to.
Momma, her Momma and me. It’s my first Mother’s Day. It’s my Momma’s first Mother’s Day without her Momma. 🙁
And an all time favorite…

Fiona Rose. Six Months Big.
A lifestyle shoot. Just Fiona being Fiona. In her room and around her house. So fun. So natural. Lots of love and laughter.
Mommy’s little lovebird.
Cutest little ruffle bottom in the whole wide world.
There’s nothing like mommy.
These images below just look like her beautiful name, Fiona Rose. Just beautiful.
How pretty is this nursery?!
My fave. Love the “f” for Fiona. Love her expression even more.
Love you Fiona Rose!

It’s April!
April brings lots of fun things. Like….
fun colorful rain booties.
and Barbie kites.
And Easter.
I’m SO SO proud of this little bunny. Holding her head up so well. Love!
Cutest little back rolls ever.
Mmm..baby toes!
Crocheted eggs and blanket from Paula, a gymnastics momma. Click HERE to like her facebook fan page.
Hat and Diaper cover set from Babee Stitches. Basket from Aunt Angie. Baby from me. 🙂
Boring eggs. Waiting for something brighter in their lives.
Fun eggs. Green eggs have more fun.
Pixie Pie, coloring Easter eggs for the very first time. She is just frightened she might get it on her dress. That’s what the scared face is.
I love the cheap little Easter egg stickers that never have enough stick to stay.
Try not smile when you look at these. It’s impossible.
Pixie’s Easter outfit is extremely special to me. This was the sweater, bonnet and booties I wore for my first Easter. My father’s grandmother knitted these for me.
I love getting Easter cards in the mail.
but I love to send them even more.
Every Easter, Momma Mia and Richard have an egg hunt with all of the grandchildren. Momma spends a great amount of time putting together special baskets for each child and makes over 300 eggs with candy and coins. The kids love it!
Every year in the past, I always felt sad leaving the egg hunt. Just a little jealous of all the little families sharing special memories. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed watching my nieces and nephews gathering eggs and socializing with my siblings. But it’s just not the same without a little.
Finally. Finally we have our own little. Finally we are one of those little families. Finally we get to take our own family picture and OUR little gets her own little basket full of goodies.
Pixie spotted the eggs in the tree. Such a good little egg hunter.
Asking my sister to take this picture of us and then seeing it on the back of the camera really made things real. Real fun. I’m so happy. Holidays are going to be so much brighter with our little.
I love all things personalized. Thanks for my bib Aunt Deana!
And this precious basket from Nana Holt.
I love pretty pretty place settings and colorful Easter mats that are over twenty years old. We had a wonderful Easter dinner with Nana and Poo-pa Holt.
I love bright colorful decorations. They help mask the drab weather and gray skies.
April is great. Even if it won’t stop raining and the thunder keeps us from sleeping at night. We have SO much to be thankful for.
Especially this here bunny purse from Nana Mary Anne. It’s a necessity really.
I love my big girl getting so strong. She’s able to hold her head up with just a little bit of a bob. So we are getting out the big girl toys. And she loves them.
Hi blog readers.
Really, could she be any cuter? Nope.
Being a bunny is exhausting. Daddy is SO good at putting the bunny to sleep. She loves her daddy.
Happy Easter friends! I hope yours was as bright and fun as ours. To many more!
Jess. Baby Bump.
I photographed Jess and Matt’s wedding a couple of years ago. Do you remember it? Fast forward to 2011 and we have a bun in the oven! How exciting! I’ll be photographing Baby Blooms’ first year. You’ll be seeing a ton of her very soon. Maybe a Cinco de Mayo baby!
Beautiful golden sun. Beautiful baby bump.
My fave.
Love.
Matt was SO not into taking maternity photos. He asked Jess what they were going to be like. She promised nothing corny like the guy laying on the baby bump. So, duh, I had to ask him to do this! And, honestly, we were laughing so hard, we actually got a great little smirk from him. I think he liked it.
Okay. You know those really COOL photographs with the beautiful silhouettes behind the parasol? Well, I had this vision. Aqua parasol, cute galoshes, baby bump. So CUTE, right?! If it actually worked. We tried everything. Moved the flash, brighter, darker, different shirts on Jess. My vision diminished every shot. If anyone knows how to do this and wants to share, I’ll pay you in tons of Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs. You know you love those!
At least Matt looks cute holding it for Jess. 🙂

Judah. Seven Months Big.
He’s a handsome little fella with big blue eyes. This is the first time I’ve had the honor of photographing this little man. And boy, oh boy did we have fun. He was a little under the weather. That didn’t stop him from showing off his big smiles and funny expressions.
You know you wanna see….
Happy boy. The image on the left is my fave. He’s looking a little shy and mischievous.
I love the angel kisses between his eyes.
This was his momma’s favorite.
I just got the coolest socks. Like, wake up and put these puppies on and you’re having a good day! Like, BRIGHT socks. In six different colors…green, yellow, orange, purple, blue, and PINK. My gymnasts love them too. If you see me around, I’ll be sure to show them off cuz I LOVE them. And so does Judah. Check him out….

Natalie. Rocking it out.
As a woman, I understand how important it is to feel beautiful and comfortable in your own skin. After all, you have to love herself first, right?! There is nothing more liberating than feeling like a million bucks and showing that off to the world. It is a wonderful feeling when you can look at a photograph of yourself and know that you look amazing. Every woman deserves to unleash her inner supermodel. And I was here to capture that for Natalie.
This shoot was a gift to herself. And for that, I love! Here’s Natalie, rocking it out.
Um, can you say GORGE. Natalie, you’re GORGEOUS!!
My fave.
Rock it out, Red Socks fan!
This cracks me up. Roberta looks like she is about to smack Natalie upside the head. The funny thing…Natalie loved this image so much she ordered it as part of her collage. Roberta, you may just need to be a staple in all of my photographs. 🙂
Oh, the bubbles. The bubbles that spilled everywhere in Natalie’s purse. I love. Totally her idea. We musta been shooting on the windiest day ever because this took about a billion takes to get bubbles to come through the little bubble maker thing.
A parasol from my wedding day. It was in my trunk. We pulled it out and got some more cute little shots of Natalie.
Well, hello hautness! DANGER. Very hot over here…
You guys, these are seriously her eyes. No photoshop needed. So crystal blue. I want.
Blaze. Nine Months Big.
Blaze saw Pixie at the bookstore. He has a crush on her. So of course he wanted to go check it out to see if she was around. 🙂
He wore a tie for the occasion. You know, just in case she was there…
Here is Blaze saying, “Happy Mother’s Day, Mom.”
He’s standing! He only fell twice. Dad says, “His head is big enough, he’s okay.”
I love his little legs here. Stretched out with his feet arched. So cute.
This is Blaze dreaming about his first date with Pixie Pie.
Pixie Pie and Blaze met for the first time. Pixie stared and Blaze crawled away. He musta been shy that day. 🙂
