Gymnasts have more fun!

Luisa and Dave.  In Love.

They got married last year.  I guess you could call this their anniversary portrait session.  Luisa and I did gymnastics together at Ohio State.  She’s awesome!

Their doggie made a great photo prop!

Let’s play Romeo and Juliet.

I love this! This is really something you can only ask your gymnastics friend to do.  Luisa was ALL for it!

And, this.  Well, it didn’t really work out as planned.  But, it’s flippin’ hilarious!
They are adorable!

Let’s welcome Drew!

Little Drew Brooks Kemelgor.

Oh-so precious! I just love new life.

Newborn babies are so small and innocent. It’s wonderful…really, they FILL you FULL of WONDER!
Little tiny fingers and itty bitty toes. They barely have eyelashes. And no eyebrows. Tightly closed eyes and a little furrowed forehead. New. Just days old.
It makes me wonder what it feels like to be just days old. Lovely, I’m sure. You get to sleep and be held and loved and kissed and rocked and squeezed so tightly from all your new family. Amazing, really.

Meet Drew. Welcome to this wonderful world little baby.

A is for Anabelle.

Anabelle.  9 months.

Whoa, is time flying!  I’ve had the great joy of shooting Anabelles’ newborn, 3 month and 6 month photos.  Mindy (the mama) mentioned at this shoot we would see the biggest change in Anabelle.  Oh, was she right!  Anabelle has sooo much personality.  Not to mention she is SO BIG now.  And so mobile.  We couldn’t keep her still!

All Stars + Ice Cream = Love

Bret and Emily. Married.

I really can’t say enough awesome things about these two people. They are funny, they are sweet, they are charming, they are beautiful (inside and out) and they love each other tremendously. The entire day was FILLED with this love.

I asked them to describe their wedding day in one word.

You know what they said?  Musical, Magical, Lutheran. That is not really one word but that was really how the day played out.

They vowed their lives to one another at Lord of Life Lutheran Church.  Following the musical, magical and lutheran ceremony, was a fun-filled evening at La Scala.

Now let’s check out these beautiful photographs and let them tell the story of the fabulous day….

This guy right here, this guy is gettin’ hitched.

My girl, KK, came out to shoot with me. She’s been really busy this summer being a fabulous mommy to her two little angels. I can say she has been missed dearly. And her lovely shots.. like the one above and below.

A bride putting on her gown is probably one of my favorite moments during a wedding day. Look, she’s glowing.

Look at this little fella. He’s so proud to wear his little tux and matching all star shoes!

A bridesmaid made it an extra AWESOME day for Emily. She gifted the bride her favorite ice cream. Hello, awesome!

Here comes the bride!

Their first look at one another. Love it!

Just have a HUGE bridal party and they can easily decorate the church.

I think it is so touching when loved ones are involved in the ceremony. It happened several times on this beautiful day. Here is Bret’s mother joining the happy couple as they exchange rings.

All Stars. A GORRRGE wedding gown. Super cool.

The groom serenaded his bride.

She was all smiles.

Check out Bret’s face here. Priceless.

He’s such a character!

Ohh la la.

Emily is beautiful. Bret is hilarious. That’s really a great combo if you ask me.

And, they need no direction. This is all natural. All love.

Orange nails, blue flippys.

I heart pocket dresses!

Mmm..cake.

Caught red handed.

Smashing of the cake. Another favorite moment of mine. And the groom asking me to follow them to the restroom to get the cleanup.

We set up a BLAST of a “photobooth”. A special thanks to Tasha for running it. Here we are…rockin’ it out. Tasha, KK, and yours truly.

Hilarious.

The lovebirds.

And…one more shot of the All Stars. Because they rock!

Congrats newlyweds.  I wish you a lifetime of happiness and love!

A quick trip for some baby lovin’.

I took a quick trip to Havelock, North Carolina to visit my best friend Jess, her husband and her new baby girl.

Addison Paige was born on Cinco de mayo.  Cool!

We had a grand time.  I was a bit overwhelmed learning about all of the stuff involved with motherhood and becoming a family.  Swings, bouncers, carseats, strollers, breast feeding…the whole ninety five yards.  Rather scary really.  Jess taught me the ropes.  Little Addison was such a doll.  A fabulous little role model of the perfect little baby.  I want one just like her!

Here’s us at Atlantic Beach gettin’ our sun on.

A lovely dinner on the waterfront in Beaufort.

We realized right before we left for the airport we hadn’t gotten out the “big” camera. So we had a fun little photo shoot with precious Addie. I do have to say my niece is quite the natural!

Talk about a BEAUTIFUL baby! Jess and Caleb you’ve made the most precious gem EVER.

A is for Addison. And Adorable.

Her kissable lil’ tummy tum.

And, really. Just look at this chunker butt. Love it!

Welcome to the world Little Miss Addison Paige. Now move back to Ohio so I can squeeze you and LOVE you ALL the time!!

A trolley getaway.

Anita and Sean.  Married.

As y’all know, we’ve had some record high temperatures lately.  I have to say a HUGE HUGE thank you to Anita, Sean and their entire bridal party for trucking across the Park of Roses, ignoring the heat and having a blast with us.  We had a great time…sweat and all.

Anita and Sean said “I do” at a beautiful church in Upper Arlington.  Following the nuptials was a fan-TABULOUS ride in a TROLLEY to the Park of Roses where we were joined by all of the wedding guests for a beautiful reception.

Congrats guys! May life bring many truckloads of awesomeness!

Beautiful beautiful bride. I just love her hair!

Since she was a little girl, Anita has been dreaming of having her photograph taken in front of this stained glass window on her wedding day.

The pastor giving the couple their own set of keys.

Yay MacGregors!

A coach and a coach | Married

Joe and Meagan.  Married.

What a stress free day.  I love it when a bride is soooo carefree and relaxed.  Meagan and Joe got married in a beautiful sanctuary in Powell followed by an awesome, elegant reception at Bridgewater.

Okay.  I have some reminiscing to do.

I met Joe and Meagan through Jess and Matt.  Matt is Meagan’s brother.  I shot their wonderful wedding last fall.
Check out Jess and Matt HERE
This day was a little different from Jess and Matt’s. Different venue, different flowers, different cake BUT… same results: happy family, beautiful surroundings, and two amazing people that will spend happy ever after together.

Here’s the start of scarlet and grey.  Go Bucks!

Here comes the bride…

Twins. Dressed to the nines! Earrings, hair bows, little dresses and tights. Matching bracelets. I’m in love!

Meagan’s dad loves this! We did this at Matt’s wedding too. Cracks me up every time. Run Joe!

Meagan gave her father a lovely gift when she walked down the aisle. A photo of her in her bridal gown with some baseball gear. Meagan’s dad loves baseball. The bridal shoot is HERE.

So happy!

O-H-I-O

Isn’t he pretty?!

Check out these AWESOME cufflinks!

Time for some fun!

A lovely slideshow of the couple played at the reception. Makes me smile ear to ear when I see images I’ve taken for all to see!
Joe and Meagan had such a fun engagement shoot.
Engagement HERE

Hilarious. Meagan’s sister gifted Joe a pair of his own boxers he left at her house. That is how often Joe is there.

Joe is a football coach. Meagan is a volleyball coach. It was only appropriate for the best man to blow this whistle during his speech.

Joe and Meagan were joined by two little ladies during their first dance. It was OH-SO adorable!

Father/Daughter dance. About halfway through, other father/daughters were invited out to the dance floor. Meagan’s sister joined in.

Congrats to Joe and Meagan! To view the entire gallery when the images are ready for viewing, click HERE.

That boy Blaze

How cool would you be if you had the name “Blaze”?  Pretty flippin’ cool!

I just love this new little family!  There’s something to say about getting the dear honor of shooting engagement, wedding, maternity  and now newborn.  It’s like I’m apart of the little family…me and my big honkin’ camera.

A little grin.  Or gas bubble?  Either way, he’s adorable!

Doesn’t Blaze look like the Paddington Bear?

He’s totally crying here.  I’m thinkin’ it looks like he is cracking up with laughter.

I love these!  An overstuffed sock monkey!  Awesome.

His new best friend.

Mommy’s sock monkey from her younger years.

The love cloud continues.

Dana and Drew.  Married.

It’s really crazy how wrapped up we get in planning a wedding. Sometimes I think we get so wrapped up in all the little details – the flowers, the cake, the color of our bridesmaids dresses – that we forget what is really going on around us. Dana and Drew had some interesting wedding plans from day one. And, oh boy, did those wedding plans change! They had originally planned to get married at North Bank Park. Soon after planning the wedding they purchased a beautiful home on some lovely land. What better idea than to commit their lives to each other where they plan to live their life? Awesome. So, the wedding was moved to their home where they planned to have a beautiful outdoor ceremony and reception. On June 27th, the BIG day, Dana and Drew woke up to a horrendous weather report. 90 degree weather and storms. Ugh! Quickly, friends and family helped the couple move the ceremony across the street to a quaint little church known as “Life Bridge Church”.

This crazy story takes me back to my wedding day. All week I stalked the weather report. All week it said 90 degrees with 80% chance of thunderstorms. Stress. Stress, I tell you. I was so determined to have my wedding outside, I didn’t care if the sky opened up and Jason and I stood in a huge heap of mud.

God works in mysterious ways. The weather held out…we had a beautiful wedding. The same with Dana and Drew. That little quaint church was home for a small group of people that day. A group of people that witnessed something magical. Dana and Drew committing their entire lives to one another. Getting wrapped up in the small things can really change the mood of a wedding day. It didn’t feel that way when you saw these two together. It didn’t matter where they stood and said their vows. Their love cloud just wrapped around everyone and it was infectious. It was perfect. The location change, the weather, the stress of all of this…this was all forgotten when they looked into each others eyes. What was important on June 27th, 2010? The marriage. The commitment. Two hearts becoming one. They did it. They’ve said “I will” forever.

Yay, Crystal Jo Foto makes an appearance in the program!

Each one of these handsome young men walked Dana down the aisle.

Super cool grooms cake.
