Here are a few fun facts about this wild one…

What is your favorite memory during your child’s first year of life?

Lindsey: The first time he pulled himself up in his pack ‘n play. You could see the triumph in his face and the joy in his laughter.

Jim: When he started crawling to me with excitement when I got home from work.

Do you have a funny story or something that happened in her first year that you’d like to share?

Our adventure at boo at the zoo when Gabe was dressed as a skunk (our little stinker). While visiting the polar bears, the momma bear got up from her nap to check out our little skunk! He must have looked tasty.

What age/month has been your favorite and why?

Lindsey: every stage has had its special parts. It was so exciting to see him sit, then crawl, and now cruise around everything! I miss when he was content to sit! A sitting baby is a great baby!

Jim: About 7 months when he started to crawl! He’s a pro army crawler.

One word to describe your baby is…

Lindsey: determined

Jim: mouthy

What is your child’s favorites…
Animal: doggies
Food: zucchini
Toy: Chuck the dump truck
Song or Book: Good Night Train

How was your experience with Crystal Jo?
Excellent! She is always east to work with and is always so patient with all of us ????

Here are a few fun facts about this amazing family…

Tell us a little about your family dynamic.  How you met your husband, how long you’ve been married, names and ages
of the children.
Ash and I met by random chance while we worked for the same company.  I was at the Columbus location for a few days and I saw Ashley on day 1 and said to my co-worker “I have to meet that girl”.  It took until my last day there to actually get to talk to her and the rest is history.  We’ve been together ever since, and married the past 4 and a half years.  We now have two amazing, 8 month old, twin baby boys – Maxwell and Jaxon who we were blessed with on February 21st, 2017.  I can’t leave out the other “kids” Bruschi, our 8 year old Goldendoodle, Bella, our 2 year old mini-Goldendoodle, and our most recent member, Pedro, our 6-month old kitten.

Do you have any hidden talents or something unique to you?
Ashley will tell you her hidden talent is singing, but the rest of the family would politely disagree with that assessment 🙂

If you could be any person for one day, who would it be?
I (Jeff) would like to be a professional athlete for a day.  Having grown up playing sports and still being a huge sports fan I’d like to see what it’s like to play at the level.  I’m a homer for my home teams so I’d have to pick someone like Tom Brady or Dustin Pedroia.  Not going to lie, having that much cash floating around for a day wouldn’t be terrible either!
I (Ashley) would like to be Ellen DeGeneres for a day because I love making people happy and giving back!  I’m also not going to lie, you can make many more miracles happen with her bank account! hahaha

What’s one thing you want to learn to do?
(Jeff) I’ve always wanted to learn how to surf.  I’ve tried it a few times but I’d like to really learn how to do it well, rather than just stand up straight (if possible) and then fall over within 10 seconds.  I think watching the pro’s do it on giant waves is so cool because of the power of the ocean.
(Ashley) I’ve always wanted to learn how to play the drums.  I love music and I can’t sing or play a single instrument and since singing is out of the question, drums it is!

If you had a $100 bill in your back pocket to spend on whatever you’d like, you’d buy…
(Jeff) I’d probably like to buy a single ticket to a Red Sox game at Fenway to take the family there for Max and Jax’s first baseball game.  By my calculations, I’d have to find about 4 other $100 bills just for tickets though!!
(Ashley) I’d buy stuff for my boys!

Describe the perfect weekend.
The perfect weekend for us is really anything that’s relaxing and just spending time.  That can be camping, going to the beach or the pool, or just lounging around the house.

Are you more like your mom or your dad?  (parents even answer this one!)
I (Jeff) am a lot like my dad.
I (Ashley) am a lot like my mom.

What did your family like best about your experience with Crystal Jo?
The interaction between Crystal Jo with us and the kids made everything very easy.  She had great ideas on what she thought was best and that made it so much less stressful for us.  She also has an amazing way of interacting with the kids to get them to do what they want – a skill set both mom and dad haven’t mastered

Here are a few fun facts about this awesome family…

Tell us a little about your family dynamic.  How you met your husband, how long you’ve been married, names and ages
of children

With two little boys and full time careers outside of the home, life is busy but we do our best to make it work! Graham is 6 and in Kindergarten which has brought a new routine to our house. Reid is 3.5 and is our wild man! We never have to wonder how he feels about things as he is very good at expressing himself!

We met through a couple that we each knew individually so it was kind of a setup. The first few times we hung out we were in bars or with large groups of people so after a couple of weeks we decided we should probably go on an actual date to see if we liked each other…it seems to have worked out pretty well! 11 years later, 8 married, through job changes, 2 house moves and 2 kids, we’ve made a lot of memories together and know there are so many more to come!

Do you have any hidden talents or something unique to you?
Graham: “I’m really good at monkey bars”
Reid : “monster trucks”
Dad: “touching my nose with my tongue and talking like Chewbacca”
Mom: “remembering song lyrics”

If you could be any person for one day, who would it be?
Graham: “Remi (grandparents’ dog) because she is funny.”
Reid: “a storm trooper”
Dad: “an astronaut”
Mom: “My Grandma when she was in her teens or early twenties. She will be 99 in a few weeks and it would be really cool to experience life in the late ’30s or early ’40s.”

What’s one thing you want to learn to do?
Graham: “be a police officer”
Reid: “drive a motorcycle”
Dad: “play golf well”
Mom: “crochet or sew”

If you had a $100 bill in your back pocket to spend on whatever you’d like, you’d buy…
Graham: “nerf guns”
Reid: “a four wheeler”
Dad: “a nice dinner out”
Mom: “a really good bottle of wine!”

Describe the perfect weekend.
Graham: “going to the movie theatre and to Toys R Us”
Reid: “going to the Buckeyes game and the taco store (El Vaquero)”
Dad: “Friday night Date Night, family activities on Saturday, and no chores on Sunday”
Mom: “Pizza with Derek and the kids at home on Friday, outside fun with the family on Saturday followed by a Date Night on Saturday and then sleeping in and having a movie day on Sunday. Oh, and no work on Monday!”

Are you more like your mom or your dad?  (parents even answer this one!)
Graham: “Daddy because we have the same color hair”
Reid: “Mommy because I am”
Dad: “Dad”
Mom: “Mom for sure”

What did your family like best about your experience with Crystal Jo?
We loved how easy Crystal was to work with and how amazing she is with kids! We all felt at ease right away which I’m sure will result in some great photos!!

columbus_photography

Here are a few fun facts about this amazing family….

Tell us a little about your family dynamic.  How you met your husband, how long you’ve been married, names and ages of the children.
Blaine and I met in middle school and started dating as juniors in high school.  We’ve been married for 10 years and have our 4 year old daughter, Charlotte.

Do you have any hidden talents or something unique to you?
Blaine has a knack for impressions and I think Charlotte might too.

If you could be any person for one day, who would it be?
I would be someone who can sing!

What’s one thing you want to learn to do?
I’d like to learn to speak Portuguese.

If you had a $100 bill in your back pocket to spend on whatever you’d like, you’d buy…
I’d go to the spa for some pampering… or treat someone to dinner.

Describe the perfect weekend.
Our perfect weekend is spending time outdoors with good food and family.

Are you more like your mom or your dad?  (parents even answer this one!)
Charlotte definitely has her dad’s sense of humor!

Here are a few fun facts about these expectant parents……

Tell us something fun or unique about your relationship.
Something unique and fun about us is that we like to tour haunted places and really get into ghost TV shows.
How did you find out you were expecting?
I was coming back from my parent’s house and I decided to go to the dollar tree and grab two pregnancy tests. I came home and took the first and it was positive….took the second…positive. We rushed out to the store to get a name brand test and they were both positive!
What’s your favorite thing about being pregnant? Least favorite?
My favorite thing is watching my belly grow over the weeks and feeling him move and kick! He moves all the time so it’s a constant reminder he’s in there having a good time!
My least favorite also has to do with my favorite. As my belly grows it makes it hard to move around and get up off the couch. And I get short of breath pretty easily! Also….the heartburn!
Did you find out your baby’s gender?
Yes, we found out and we are having a boy. We took our sealed ultrasound to Party City and had them fill up a black balloon with either pink or blue confetti. We brought it home and popped it in the front yard.
Is there a nursery or shower theme you’d like to share?
The theme of his nursery is “woodland creatures.” There are plenty of foxes, bears, and deer.
A baby is coming! What are you looking forward to the most?
Meeting our little one! We are so excited to see what he looks like and watch him grow!
How did you find Crystal Jo?
She was our amazing wedding photographer!

Here are a few fun facts about this awesome family…
Tell us a little about your family dynamic.  How you met your husband, how long you’ve been married, names and ages
of the children. Chris and I have been married for 5 years. Crystal Jo started taking our photos for our engagement, then our wedding, maternity, babies and now family! Our girls are Kinley, age 4, and Kendall, age 2.

Do you have any hidden talents or something unique to you?
Kinley’s a pretty good whistler. And Kendall, she can scare anyone off with her “grumpy face”

If you could be any person for one day, who would it be?
Kinley says Ariel, but she would want to be able to get her feet whenever she wants.

If you had a $100 bill in your back pocket to spend on whatever you’d like, you’d buy…
I will answer for the kids. Kinley would buy legos, Kendall would buy baby dolls.

Describe the perfect weekend.
Our perfect weekends are when we have nothing planned and we can just go where the day takes us.

What did your family like best about your experience with Crystal Jo?
She’s great with the kids and she brought out Mr Tom for our session because Kendall isn’t very into taking photos right now. Later on during the day of our session, Kendall told me “mommy, I had fun with Mr Tom today.” (Mr Tom is a little squeaky toy that Crystal made do silly things. I thinks that’s how she got her smiles)

We went on our first vacation as a family of 3. It was a Disney Cruise and 2 days in Disney World and we had the most amazing time!

Every day has a funny story and a new adventure! He keeps us on our toes and always entertained!

What age/month has been your favorite and why?

Here are a few fun facts about this beautiful little one…

Tell us about that first moment when you saw your baby.

We were so excited and a little bit anxious now that we had a newborn and a two year old. However I was ecstatic that this delivery was so much quicker and smoother than our first delivery thanks to my amazing OB Dr. Melillo and Nurse Gina threat!

What was your baby’s birth weight and length?
Eleanor weighed 6lbs 11 oz and was 19 inches long

Is there a story behind your baby’s name?
Nope no exciting story… jimmy and I were able to narrow girl names down to two and we  liked the variety of nicknames with Eleanor so ta da… Eleanor it is!

Give us the scoop. What has surprised you the most about parenthood?  Are there any funny stories or firsts that you’d like to share?
We haven’t been super surprised with Eleanor being our second in terms of being parents. What I am amazed by is what you forget in just a few short years. You forget how little the baby starts off as and how difficult putting an itty bitty diaper on a moving target is! Our little poop machine is notorious for fighting diaper changes only to soil herself about five seconds into her new diaper!

What did you like best about your experience with Crystal Jo?
Everything! Where do I even begin! Crystal Jo always makes you feel so welcomed and really works with making your ideas and thoughts come to life in her photos! She is so flexible to work with HANGRY newborns and toddler meltdowns!!! (Yeah mommyhood!) Our family is beyond grateful for her charisma and ability to capture all the love and fun of our completed family!!! ????
