Session fave… love the LOVE!And any lady that puts on a camo shirt just for her man, she’s a real keeper! Those that hunt together, stay together! 🙂So easy and so in love, can’t wait for the wedding, friends, XO!Some fun facts about this adorable couple..
When and where is your wedding?
It’s at the beautifully rustic Jorgensen’s Farm in the hills of Westerville.
How did you meet?
His chubby cheeks and blonde hair crossed my path in first grade on the playground.
Tell us about your proposal!
We had just gone to a memorial service for a coworker and went to see the Bruce Munro lights exhibition at the Franklin Park Conservatory with family/friends. Both of our phone were dead so when we were walking around his cousin was taking all kinds of picture for us, or so I though. Come to find out she was actually taking so many pictures trying to find the best lighting for the proposal. We got to an area inside with beautiful vibrant flowers. Tony’s cousing told us to step in front of the flower so she could get a picture of us and so i walked up and put my arm around his and looked at her for the pictures and Tony kept staring at me so I turned and looked at him and asked him what he was doing and he pulls out a box and drops to one knee. I though it was a joke at first to be honest. And then i went into loud mode and started doing like a crazy laugh. It was so wonderful though because we were able to get pictures of all of it which is exactly what I wanted.
What’s your favorite thing about your significant other?
I love that he is so family oriented. I grew up having a super close family and I love that he and I are eye to eye with how important family is to us. He is ALWAYS willing to pick up and help my dad at any point when he needs to.
What makes you guys unique?
He is one of the VERY FEW men in this world that still have the gentlemen traits of opening the doors no matter what, always is the one paying for things, etc. That is a few hard thing to find in men these days!!
How did you find Crystal Jo?
Crystal Jo rolled up in her Black steed(the jeep) to take pictures of the first look at Tony’s cousin’s wedding(Dom and Meg Cervi). She was like a knight in shinning armor making her way across the bridge with all of her gear. Aftering spending the whole night watching her do her thing Tony and I both just knew that she had to be our photographer no matter what!!! (YOU GUYS CRACK ME UP!!)
Jake and Jill. Married. (Usually I type the gals name first for the header but I just love saying JAKE AND JILL. Went over the hill.)
Same. Same. Just a few minutes apart.
Right photo. DEF A FAVE! These guys were lots of fun.
Today a Bride,
Tomorrow a wife,
Forever your
little peanut.
Jill’s dad has called her “Little Peanut” since she was a little peanut. She had an intimate moment with him right before the ceremony and gifted him this money clip. It was emotional and beautiful.
That moment. When you can’t breath. It’s all a whirlwind and so very emotional. Then the doors open. You take your first step forward. And just like that, life changes forever.
Beautiful fall colors!
Another fave… love the colors, the sky, the people. Perfection.
Jill’s number one request… FALL COLORS. This wedding was on October 11th and the trees hadn’t really changed yet. Every day, while taking Pixie to preschool, I’d drive down Holton Road and notice this beautiful tree. Bright, colorful. Changing way earlier than any of the others. When we were in the limo on our way to the reception, I asked the driver to take a different route, down Holton Road, to this beautiful tree. And although it was a very odd location to take wedding photos (see white house in bottom right) as we were literally standing in someone’s driveway, these are some of the most beautiful fall wedding photos. Thanks for trusting my vision, Jake and Jill!
Back in the limo to the Pinnacle Club.
For some fun!
And beauty.
Jill said this was the only clever/unique thing she came up with for the wedding. “It’s not on Pinterest. Yet. I came up with this all on my own!” Great job, Jilly!
Jill, I adore your father. Your entire family for that matter. So welcoming. So kind. Your mother insisted helping me carry my equipment out to my car at nearly midnight. She also sent me home with some beautiful blooms. Your father talked and talked and talked with me. With an open heart, I gathered some insight into your family. And I adore you even more! XO!
A personal wedding favorite. EVER.

Fun facts about this awesome couple..
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
Jill: Seeing Jake as I walked down the aisle. It was hard to look at anyone else because my eyes were glued on him. My second favorite was doing a first look with my dad. Things have happened to him throughout my life where I didn’t know if he would be able to be there to walk me down the aisle. It was an amazing feeling knowing we had to made it to this special day.
Jake: It is hard to sit and pick one memorable moment from a whole day full of them. The first for me was the opening of the doors and seeing Jill. Her dress was incredible and I thought to myself, she had picked the perfect dress. Also, walking into our reception and seeing all of the people who had come to be part of our special day.
What was your favorite detail?
Jill: I would have to say everything, but if I have to choose one it would be the two rocking chairs set up at our reception. We had a sign with the song lyric “Someday when I’m ninety….you’re that wooden rocking chair I want rocking right beside me.” Jake and I have always joked about how when we grow old we will want to sit on our front porch in wooden rocking chairs.
Jake: When we were walking out of the church after the ceremony, they rang the church bells many times. It was a surprise to us and a very nice touch.
Any advice for future bride/grooms?
Jill: Try not to let the stress get to you! Trust me, it will be stressful, but soak it in! It is such a special day and it will fly by!
Jake:Enjoy the day and do not get hung up on the little things. You get one wedding day, make sure you take time to soak it all in and enjoy it. Also, eat, make sure you get a good breakfast and lunch. In the craziness of the day it can be easy to skip meals. Getting a good breakfast and lunch will make your day better.
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Jill: I wouldn’t change anything! Except to maybe make the day longer! It was the perfect wedding for us!
Jake: Not at all. Because of all the hard work put into our wedding, it turned out perfect for us.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Jill & Jake: We went to the Sandals Resort down in the Bahamas. It was nice to get away for a couple of days and relax.
How was your experience with Crystal Jo Foto?
Jill: I absolutely love Crystal Jo! She made the whole day run smooth and she took so many pictures! She is the type of photographer that doesn’t get in your face the whole time which is nice. My favorite memory of her is that we invited her to come back to our reception and celebrate after she was “off the clock” and she did! It was so neat to think she had so much fun she wanted more!
Jake: Just the whole process working with Crystal Jo has been great. Our first meetings to the last photos of the night, it has been a great relationship. Our whole wedding party truly enjoyed the fun and energy Crystal brought. It was great when Crystal was done shooting for the night, she was able to have a glass of wine with us and help celebrate our big day.
Cail and Jordan. Engaged.
Cail, the first thing I notice in the photo on the left… how happy you are. The second thing I notice.. your man’s hiney. Good catch. 🙂
Session fave….
COLOR. LOVE. LAUGHS.
Geez, how I love the fall. Football, leaves on the ground. And then lay two lovebirds in that mix and you get this beautiful creation…
Go Bucks. And cute people. I like cute people, too. Go CUTE PEOPLE!
The light, on this VERY COLD evening, was freakin’ tooooooo die for. Thank you, Cail and Jordan, for braving the temps, for trusting me with your ever-so-important engagement and wedding photography. I hope you love these photos to the moon and back. I can’t wait to forever be a part of your lives. XO, friends!
When and where is your wedding?
We’re getting married on May 9th, 2015 at NorthPointe Hotel & Conference Center in Lewis Center, Ohio
How did you meet?
Jordan and I met when we were in middle school through a mutual friend and started dating in junior high. I was in 7th grade and he was in 8th! Who would have thought 9 years later we would be getting ready to get married?!?!
Tell us about your proposal!
On Sunday, August 10th my family told me that we were going to downtown Columbus for a meet and greet event with the Columbus Blue Jackets through my dad’s work. Jordan had told me that he had to go into work and would try and meet me there later, but couldn’t guarantee he would be off work. He showed me a text from him boss the day before asking him to come in, and my dad had shown me a made up invitation to the event we were going to. I got dressed, did my hair & makeup (thank God!) and went with my family downtown. As we walked towards the Nationwide Arena I was totally oblivious to the entire scene happening across the street. It took my mom saying “What that?!” for me to turn and look at the handsome man standing in a suit on the lawn by the Union Station Arch. I cried like a baby! I mean I knew I was emotional, but that reaction took even me by surprise! After a moment I walked down an aisle way lined with tulle and bouquets of roses as a trio
played classical music. Although, to be totally honest, I hardly noticed any of these things until after the proposal was over (I was in shock.. obviously). When I reached the end of the aisle, I hugged Jordan as my hands were shaking. He got down on one knee and popped the question, and of course I said “YES!” –Finally As he stood back up the crowd that I was so oblivious too cheered. I realized that our families were both there and some very close family friends! It was perfect, and SO beautiful!!!! After a photo-op and a champagne toast Jordan and I headed off to a romantic dinner at Martini. I couldn’t have asked for a better proposal, nor dreamed up one that good for myself! I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together and so glad that I’ll forever have this incredible memory – I think he’s a keeper!!
What’s your favorite thing about your significant other?
Cail – My favorite thing about jordan is how positive he is! He always knows how to brighten up any situation, and never struggles to see the good in life. He definitely keeps me grounded and is the calm to my crazy. He’s very laid back goes with the flow
Jordan – My favorite thing about Cail is her selflessness. She never hesitates to help me out with anything and does so without questioning or complaining, and I love her for that.
What makes you guys unique?
Jordan and I have grown up together, we’ve gone to junior high, high school, and college together. We’ve done the long distance thing, and through all of our different phases of life, we have grown closer together. Now, I am so excited for the next chapters in our life together, getting married, our first apartment, starting a family, and growing old together. I wouldn’t want to share this life with anyone else.
How did you find Crystal Jo?
We found Crystal Jo through a friend of a friend! I saw pictures that she took of a reception at NorthPointe and I just got so excited for my own wedding! Not to mention every bride she photographs looks flawless!!!!
The Temple Family.
LOVE THESE SO VERY MUCH!
Gabe, seriously?! Hilarious. You can change with the blink of an eye and recover with a huge smile. I can’t stop laughing at this! Xo, big boy!
Funny story from Gabe’s first year..
Sofie. 3 Years Big.
The session was supposed to be ALL Sof. I snuck a few in of Mommy and Daddy. 🙂
Shoe phone! Who would you like to call? Dial Daniel Tiger’s number. Beep, beep…
Works every time!
Little thumb sucker. Capturing the innocence before it runs away so very quickly.
We love fall. And leaves!
My session fave on the right. 🙂 Love her hands, her laugh, the background, SWOON!
Some fun facts about Sofie..
Favorite food, snack, junk food, candy: Bread and Chocolate! She will eat anything made out of bread…and has her daddy’s sweet tooth.
Favorite song and/or book: “Upside Down” by Jack Johnson and her book is “The Adventures of Flat Stanley”
Favorite show and/or character: She loves Daniel Tiger and Sofie the First.
What is one thing Sofie can’t live without? Her pink bunny.
Favorite memory from her third year: Taking her to Disney for the first time earlier this year. Seeing her face light up when she saw the castle. All she could say was “It is real…” Priceless moment for us.
Share her personality with us! Sofie is the perfect addition to our family! She has been a joy to us since she was born. Her full head of black hair and dimpled cheeks melted our hearts from the moment that we saw her. She is one of the most caring and loving little girls. She is the one that hugs a friend at school when they are crying or jumps over her friends to “save them” during Sharks and Minnows at soccer. Sofie is always smiling and very rarely cries. When she falls down or bumps her head, she gets right back up and continues on her way without a tear. Her imagination and love to play pretend is true enjoyment to watch. She can take anything and turn it into a tea party with her favorite stuffed animals! Mommy is the one that she loves to cuddle and give “Ugga Mugga” kisses like Daniel Tiger. Daddy is the best at playing doll house and reading bedtime stories with her. Whether you meet her in person or see her through a beautiful picture, you can tell that she is a special little girl to us…
How was your experience with Crystal Jo Foto?
Our experience with Crystal Jo was easy and enjoyable. As a parent, you often worry about getting a toddler to sit long enough to get one picture let alone a whole session. Crystal Jo made it fun and enjoyable for Sofie to get her picture taken. She had fun “games” to play with Sofie and really got her excited about getting her picture taken. She is still “squishing grapes” and poses for us to show us that she can still do it. Crystal Jo understands what it is to be a parent and what we look for in pictures of our children. The entire experience has been fun and a pleasure to be part of.
The Kemelgor Fam.
Aren’t they stunning?! YES!
Kisses are cute. Even when the kids don’t want to see.
FUN!
My session fave. XO, Kemelgor Fam. ALWAYS A JOY!
Cheryl + Joe + Jake + Gavin. Their annual fall mini session.
Always giving me a run for my money, these teenage boys. They’d rather be playing hockey or ANYTHING besides having photos taken. Aren’t they handsome though?! And Momma sure is proud. 🙂
Hollie and Michael. Married. The Blowdry Cafe. (Ladies, if you haven’t been here, GOOOOOO! It’s an amazing treat. Mention Crystal Jo Foto and save $5 off your blowout.) Hollie got ready at Blowdry Cafe and was going to do her first look with Michael on a bridge in between the salon and the ceremony site. She asked me where she should put on her dress. I told her if she was up for it, in the middle of the woods would be really, really cool. She said, “that is so me, let’s do it!” I really want every bride to put to do this. How gorgeous is this…… Sigh. I love it so much! The first look. Hollie wasn’t sure if she wanted to see Michael before the ceremony. I told her I had a REALLY spectacular location for them to see each other. It will be intimate. It will be special. It will be YOU. I think it was just that! And then there was this. Hollie, you are absolutely stunning. I am SO very honored to call you my sister-in-law. You make my brother the HAPPIEST I have ever seen him. And for that, I love you to the moon and back. XO, sister. Love the colors. Love the free-style boots. Love the littles outfits. Even if I did have a hand in picking them out. 🙂 A gift from Momma. Vows in rear, party in here. Oh, be still my fluttering heart! Hollie and Michael LOVE their moonshine. I love photographing people and really capturing REAL, HONEST, TRUE personality. Since Michael is my brother, I know this is him. YOU LUSHES! XO! Just look how awesome these outfits are! Their children. ALL TOGETHER FOREVER NOW. Thanks for being my light girl, Momma. 🙂 Momma and Bub. I think both of these are frame-worthy. So Bub has this donkey he takes everywhere. Donkey is a big drinker. He goes to all of the drinking festivities. Bub surprised his Bride by pulling out the donkey during the garter removal. Mom, Richard, Sis, being very silly. 🙂 My family.

Nine months. A bit more mobile and rambunctious.
And now a walking one year old! Love you, sweet Aubrey girl! XO!
Some fun facts about Aubrey from Mommy and Daddy…
What is your favorite memory during her first year of life?
Wow, where do we start? This entire first year has been amazing, and there have been so many wonderful memories!! Being a parent brings you so much joy & a love that is indescribable. One of our favorite memories would be the moment we heard our daughter’s sweet cry and held her in our arms for the very first time. Another one of our favorite memories is our daughter’s sweet smile that just lights up a room & her precious little giggles. One of daddy’s would be the way she greets him with such excitement & love after a long day at work.
Do you have a funny story or something that happened in her first year that you’d like to share?
One funny memory we have is when we were getting Aubrey ready for bed with our usual bedtime routine, she was around 9-10 months of age. We were reading her a bedtime story, “God gave us you”. Mommy had been working with Aubrey on getting her to say “Ma,Ma”. We were at a part in the book where we were talking about the momma cub and we emphasized “Ma, Ma” to Aubrey & at that moment she looked up at us and loudly blurted out in her sweet little voice “Da,Da”! We both busted out laughing as it couldn’t have been more perfect timing.
What age/month has been your favorite and why?
Each month and stage is fun and unique in its own way, bringing in new joys and challenges. It is so much fun to watch our daughter grow and learn each and everyday. The last few months have been some of our favorites. She is walking everywhere and loves babbling. We love watching your personality shine through, you are so fun & active! One of mommy’s recent favorites is when you started giving kisses on the lips, it is the sweetest & melts my heart!
One word to describe your baby is…Lovable
Favorites:
Animal: I wouldn’t say she has a favorite animal quite yet however she does especially love her touch and feel book with farm animals in it!
Food: Yogurt & fruits
Toy: Some of her favorite toys are riding toys (especially when daddy pushes her around the whole house, she screams with excitement!), blocks, or pretty much anything you can make noise with. You love helping mommy in the kitchen you especially love to open up all the drawers & cabinets and get out everything you possibly can! You are quite the lil helper these days!
