Camp Sharp

I was able to get some fun shots of Stephanie Sharp and Roberta Camp Albert for their website. They are hosting a fabulous FREE camp for girls who need some extra lovin’. Check out the flyer below.

A serious love cloud.

Dana and Drew.  Two amazing people whose lives have interconnected perfectly and they’re planning to spend the rest of it, side by side.  Forever and ever.

They have no shame in their lov’n.  Nope, none.  They show it to everyone.  Drew laughs and says the whole family tells them they can’t get enough of each other.  Dana kisses him on the head.  It’s LOVE.  It’s in the air when you are around these two.  No joke.  A huge cloud of love.  They laugh at each other, look into each others eyes and kiss.

He has found the girl of his dreams in Dana.  She has found her magican man in Drew.

I’m SO looking forward to their wedding that is right around the corner.  Now here’s for a little love to surround your air.

Kelly & Bryant

Kelly and I met in college.  She was great friends with one of my roommates so she spent a grand amount of time at out “pad”.  Oh, do we ever have some fond memories of our college years in that house!  I was honored when Kelly contacted me for her wedding photography..  f’real, we’ll be breakin’ it down at the wedding!

I like to tease Kelly about her “Bridezilla” ways.  She likes to text me with some funny questions… “what if it rains”, “should I have 2 or 3 outfits?”.. “how should I fold my scarf” (not really but I’ll continue to tease her!).  What can I say, she’s a planner!  I’m sure the wedding will be beautiful with the most detailed details.  Can’t wait to capture it!

The first time meeting Bryant was at this engagement shoot.  I can honestly say I can’t picture Kelly with anyone else.  They laugh at each others’ random jokes, they play and banter with each other and the best part… it all just fits.  Here are a few of my faves.

Viva Las Vegas WPPI 2010

Wow.  What an amazing experience, let me tell you!  I went to Las Vegas for a photography convention.  Along with over 12,000+ other photographers.  There were thousands of people ready to suck in as much knowledge, networking and fun as possible.  I was so inspired!  I spent the first two days in a lighting workshop with Tony Corbell.  The next week, my husband and I split out time attending multiple platform classes learning about web presence, networking, posing, lighting, pricing, boudoir, branding and soo much more.  We heard some awesome speakers including Jasmine Star, Justin and Mary Marantz and Doug Gorden.  We visited some FAB booths at the trade show including Smug Mug, Pro Photo, Animoto and Canon.

In short, it was the best investment I have made for my business.  2010 is going to be a killer year for me and my dreams.  WPPI rocked my socks!

Um, this model is so GORGE!

Is it good luck if a lady buck lands on your camera?  If so, I’ll say it was my camera.

Gettin’ our learn-on from Tony Corbell.

My lovely h-band and I.  Enjoying a fabulous chinese dinner.

Doug Gorden was so great at getting audience participation!  Hello, free stuff, heck yeah I’ll dance for free stuff!  Too bad that lucky lady bug wasn’t mine!

WPPI friends at the Canon banquet.

Great friend and photographer, Beth {on the left}, who I met at her sister-in-laws wedding last summer.  And her great friend {who now I claim :)} Brandy, a Canon speaker.  Go Canon!  Right Beth?!  Ha!

Um, me and Jasmine Star.  I waited an 1 1/2 to see this fabulous super hero!  She’s AMAZING.  I was totally STAR STRUCK when we met.  It’s sad the lighting is so crazy in this shot because she is BEAUTIFUL!  You can see for yourself HERE.

My h-band is a bit overwhelmed as we stand in the center of the amphitheater.  It was a great gathering of about, hmm, let’s say, 12,000 plus photographers.  Love it!

Meeting new friends was our favorite part!  Here’s Ray from the Carolinas.

Um, star struck again!  Is that Jerry Ghionis?  Yes, and he is giving me a squeeze!  At one of his classes he said, “If I have not hugged you during WPPI, please find me.”.  Totally took him up on this!

Dancing in the casino.  Don’t worry, we left that big space there.  Behavin’ in Vegas!

Tuna Tar Tar at one of many Wolfgang Pucks Vegas restaurants.

Just thought this was SO cool.  The images displayed on the wall changed every 10 seconds or so.

My h-band on the red carpet.  Rock it babe, rock it.

The Pictage Party at Studio 54.

We took a limo to the other side of the strip.  Enjoyed a FABULOUS dinner at a sushi shack in ENCORE.

Hello pretty light.  Please come into our limo.

Okay, the above image of Jason and Ray is hilarious!  And the shot of Jason and I….it’s like on ISO 50 billion…it’s pretty pitch black in this club.  Good thing we have candle light, my fun light up bracelets and the brilliant Canon 5DMkII!

Jess and Her Baby Bump

My best friend Jess is preggers!  It’s so crazy to go through so many stages of life with someone.  High School, college, marriage and now BABIES!  It is really so neat to look back at our friendship and be able to say,

“check, I filmed the day you were on the high school news” – high school
“check, I was there with you playing fuzzy duck” – college
“check, I helped you put your wedding dress on” – marriage
“check, I took your maternity photos!” – pregnancy

Whoa!  And just recently, I got to feel little Addison kick my hand as she walled around in mommies tummy.  My mother and I had the honor of planning the baby shower for Jess.  Everything turned out fantastic.  Check out the below images.  I can’t wait to be an Auntie!

Miss Greater Cleveland looks GREAT

Miss Greater Cleveland

Isn’t she lovely.  Isn’t she wonderful.

Love that song… AND this beauty we have right here.

Ashley will be running for Miss Ohio 2010.

She brought some BEAUTIFUL evening gowns for her shoot.  A great friend of mine and former Miss Ohio, Roberta Camp-Albert, came to help us with the shoot. We had so much fun laughing and coming up with some creative stuff for the lovely Miss Greater Cleveland.  Good Luck Ashley!

Hope for a crown

Meet Hope.  I love that name.  It brings hope to the room…and so does she.  We had a grand time taking photographs for Hope to use for her beauty pageants.

Chasing my dreams {outside of Chase}

Crystal Jo Foto goes Full Time!

So, I’ve officially left the corporate world.  Yep, Crystal Jo has taken Crystal Jo Foto full time!  It was a HUGE decision and extremely scary nonetheless.  I worked at Chase for 3 years – 3 great years.  I enjoyed working on the mainframe but found myself constantly thinking about photography, what I could be doing if I was outside of those 3 little cubical walls.

I love love love all of my co-workers at Chase.  I know I’m going to miss them sooo much!  It’s so great to be so close to friends at work.  You get to hear all about their families and grandchildren, teenagers and car accidents, ghost hunting stories and tattoos, and the list goes on and on of our hallway discussions.

I feel so blessed to work and love what I do.  I meet so many awesome people and find myself happiest when I have a camera in my hand and am able to think and be creative.  Thank you for all who made my Chase experience an unforgettable one.  You’ll be in my heart forever.

Here’s the 3 walls I was telling you about.  So nicely decorated and cluttered.  It makes for fun conversations with the “drive-bys”.

Meet Andy.  If you follow the blog, you’ve seen his family HERE or HERE.  Oh, and I love this pic of Andy mid-sentence, only because there is a flippin’ AWESOME picture of me and Jim Tressel right next to his head.  🙂
Some good ole Chase buddies after hours.   Me and Walt B.  Both wearing my favorite color.  He’s the ghost hunter.  Like, for real. More Chase friends.   This is Greg.  Really his name is Will Gregory.  I always like to ask people who have two first names if they “mind” having two first names.  Typically they say “no”.  Then I call them by their last name.  Hi Greg!   And this is Ma Waka.  I love love love her!  She’s so my work Ma.  And I shot her son’s wedding. HERE is the post.  They always make me feel like I’m apart of the family.  I miss you Ma!!I’ll see ya’ll real soon.  We’ll have to meet for some Chinese Goodness.  Bye Chase…I’m off to chase my dreams!

America’s Next Top Baby {is Smizing}!

Anabelle.  3 months old already!  You may remember her newborn photoshoot.  This time we were able to finish her whole session without pooing on mom or the set!  She’s just precious.  She loved the bright lights.  We struggled to get a smile out of her, but when we did it was HUGE.  After the shoot Anabelle’s mother Mindy sent me this message.. “I told my husband that she was all smiles until the camera came out. He asked if she was listening to Tyra Banks and smiling with her eyes… Then in a weird voice he said “And you are America’s next top baby!”  For those of you who have never watched Top Model – Smizing is smiling with your eyes, not your mouth.

Looking back through all of these pictures, I can’t help but think Anabelle is “smizing” in all of them.  Hilarious!

She’s a diva!Tea party anyone?Look at this below image and tell me you see Anabelle smizing?!  Yeah, me too.

Woof Woof to the Weis Family

Look at these pups and their good lookin’ parents.  Aww!

Colleen and I met a couple of years ago.  She was actually working out the first time I went to our kick-butt personal trainer, Ashley.  Yes, I have to plug her…if you need a personal trainer, she is AWESOME.

Ashley Blackstone – 614.302.0077

I was scared to death the first time I went to Ashley’s studio.  Colleen was there with a big smile.  Oh, that put me at ease!  She didn’t stop talking the entire workout….this made it so much easier!  She’s a fun distraction.  🙂  Thanks Colleen.  Hope you love your family portraits.

Entire doggie gallery is HERE.

Here’s Polo.

Whoa..look at Colleen’s BLUE eyes!  All natural! The newest member the their family.  Kirby.
