Just the most beautiful Christmas wedding! Brittannie and Manny told me many many months ago how much they wanted it to snow on their day. Right after the ceremony, as the guests put on their coats and grabbed a jingle bell to shake as the bride and groom ran to the getaway car, the sky opened and the snow fell. It was beautiful. Everything about the entire day. Happy as can be, nothing was stopping these two from ginormous smiles and laughs.
Some of my favorites from the day…
The church. The church. The church. Beautiful. Oh and it had beautiful large Christmas trees and poinsettias everywhere!
The grooms “cake”. It was a large chocolate globe. The bride and groom grabbed a hammer and broke it open. Then Brittannie, with a huge grin, told her guests that Manny gave HER the world and she wanted to give HER world back to HIM. And (tear) share a little of their world with everyone else. Inside the large chocolate globe was mini worlds for all the guests. So sweet, not only literally…mmm, they were DE-Lish!
Candy Cane place card holders! So clever. Made for a great ring shot too.
Firestone Country Club. I’ve never been there before nor did I know this is The Bachelor’s place. Does this somehow make me famous too? Either way, it was lovely.
Oh, I must tell you about their wedding favors. Soap. Really cute little red soaps with their initials and wedding date. Guests thought the soap was candy. The family had to announce to everyone to stop eating the favors as it was not candy it was soap. Hilarious!
Getting awesome bride and groom shots in the snow. How cold would you be in 15 degrees and a sleeveless wedding gown?! Brittannie never stopped smiling. Beautiful happy smiles. Still makes me smile.
Thank you for ending 2009 with such a happy day and including me. You guys are fabulous. I wish you all the very best in life!

Anabelle. Just born. So precious. So little. Her little hands. Her little toes. Her big bright eyes staring back at me. I fell in love. Instantly. Meet Anabelle. Barely 4 weeks old. Seriously, could she be any more adorable…oh!

That’s right. They are married! A Halloween wedding. Oh – a beautiful day! I honestly could not say more fantabulous things about this amazing couple. They’ve helped me out in more ways than one. Last October we shot their engagement pictures and they so graciously volunteered to shoot a second session for my promotional video {the one you see on the website in the Engagement section, I know, aren’t they cute!}. The “all so famous” Prodigy Video came out to shoot their wedding and we were able to, once again, work on my promotional video. So, they wanna promote Crystal Jo Foto! See, told you they were fantabulous!
Kristen and Rik got married at St. Matthews Catholic Church in Gahanna. Lovely. After the ceremony we headed over to Otterbein College {where the two love kadoodles met}. They had an awesome wedding party that was willing to do any crazy shenanigans I asked them to {despite the fall}. And the lovely reception was at the Worthington Doubletree.
So you wanna know my favorite fantabulous stuff at the wedding, don’t cha?
1.) The way the brides little sister stared at her the whole entire day – it was precious.
2.) The bridal party’s entrance. Yes, it included a football – jerseys, war paint under their eyes and a lot of pushing, shoving, nearly tackling and the groom catching the brides “long” pass. Fantabulous!
3.) Guest Favors – Bottles of wine with a Crystal Jo Foto {yeah, that’s right} engagement pictures of the sweet couple as a label.
4.) The bright flowers – holy beautiful!
5.) Working with Prodigy Video – Nathan and team rocks your socks!
6.) The Grooms grandparents – they won the Anniversary dance. I can’t remember the exact number of years that they’ve been married. I just know it was 50 +, the wife was spinning the husband in his wheelchair and everyone had tears in their eyes. So sweet!
7.) Kristen and Rik – you couldn’t ask for anymore love between two people. This is called serious FANTABULOUSNESS right here.
To many more happy years, to you and your happy family! Much love! To view the entire gallery when they are ready for viewing, click HERE.
Doug and Kathy. Doug and the hubby have worked together for years. They think they are cool – Kathy and I think otherwise..hehe. We headed to Homestead Park in Hilliard for their “five year together” shoot. What a beautiful fall day!

Shammy Sham.
Shambo {like the hard core Survivor chick}.
Sham-Wow..isn’t this the rag used to clean cars with “no” streaking..yeah, WOW.
Shammy – oh, maybe this is the name of rag {ha!}.
Shammoo – isn’t this the name of the big whale?
Shampoo – what we use to watch our hair {with exception of Justin Bobby}
Okay – in all seriousness. The Shambaughs. Completely and Udderly {yes, like a cow} AWESOME. Sarah remembered me from a lonnng time ago. We share a mutual friend and we ran into each other back in my Olive Garden bartending days. Yes, I know, I was mixin’ and flippin’ those bottles to satisfy my customers with some crazy Crystal Jo concoctions. If you knew me then you are laughing at that last comment.
Anywhooo…she had contacted me to shoot her awesome Shambaugh fall family fotos {mouthful, I know}. Sarah is a photographer herself, so the majority of our session her and I were rambling on about fun photography lingo, gear, places to shoot…you name it, we were all over it. Needless to say, I adored her so much I invited her over to talk more photo. And photo we talk! Now, I can happily say I have Sarah onboard the Crystal Jo Foto train. Yep, that’s right, she is now my {what I like to say} AsSistant. You’ll see and hear so much more from/about her. Welcome on the crazy train ride Sham…can’t wait for our journey together.
And on to the fall family fotos. We shot these at Jeffrey Mansion in Bexley with Sarah’s hubby Paul and oh so adorable lil’ one Hayden.
Wow…isn’t this the cutest family?! To view the entire gallery click HERE.
Erin and Phil. Two love birds. Their engagement session was especially easy. It’s so easy when it’s true love. The photographs really make themselves. Phil is from Chicago and Erin is from Dublin, Ohio. They met at college in Michigan {Go Bucks, I know…we won’t hold it against them.} and after an almost two year engagement..they are getting married! We met at the Dublin Library and hiked to a beautiful park behind it. This lovely location is where Phil proposed. He showed me exactly where he planned to ask her to marry him. And this location, uh, let’s just say was not an easy one to get to. We climbed down some very, very steep rocks, crossed a river filled with tree branches and debris and then TA-DA..a BEAUTIFUL waterfall! What an awesome little love spot! The night Phil was going to propose, the stream was so dry he didn’t feel the waterfall was the greatest location to ask for her hand in marriage. So we hiked some more {good thing I had on my trusty tennies} to another beautiful area.
Congrats on your engagement, Erin and Phil. Thanks for sharing the beautiful waterfall with me. I hope to take my love muffin here…that is, if he’s not to scared to climb down the “mountain”. To view the entire gallery of images when they are ready for viewing, click HERE.
The Galls are married! What a gorgeous place! Confluence Park. On a lovely Monday evening. Tina and Kevin are such a lovely couple…check Kevin out in his military uniform. Gotta love a man in a uniform, right?! I love the fall colors, the leaves the flower girl tossed on the aisle and the different bright colors the bridesmaids wore. The day was oh just perfect. Congrats, Kevin and Tina, to many many happy years!

“Wake up Meagan! Will you marry me?” That’s pretty much how it happened. {Perhaps not that demanding but it makes for a good story.} She was sound asleep and he was anxious to ask her those four words. Could you imagine? It’s like a dream come true – literally. Such a romantic story and a cute couple.
Meet Joe and Meagan. We met in Deleware at Ohio Wesleyan college for their engagement shoot. What a great new place to shoot! I love the inspiration I get when I’ve never been somewhere…especially when I have fun-loving people in front of the camera. Can’t wait for the wedding!
By far, the coolest shot!

The Bennett Family. We’ve been friends for years. Erik Bennett and my husband’s father worked together many years ago. It’s nice when your parents have nice friends because they become yours as well. Then I marry a great guy and now I have his great friends too. Then come the little ones…Blake, Jack and Kendall. Aww, so cute. Blake…he was all smiles and grins the entire photo session. Jack…he is the most photogenic little boy you ever did see. Tricky part about Jack is getting him to sit still for just one minute. And, I’ll be the first to say…he is a fast one! Hehe..he’s clear across the park and Kendall says “I’ll go get Jack.” Aww…my little Kendall. She had the cutest lil’ hippie dress on with her sparkly silver shoes. She goes to run across the park and falls in the biggest mud puddle..quiet hilarious to me – but hey, I don’t do the laundry. 🙂 Erik and Michele have a nice Canon camera with a fancy smancy lens…see, that’s another reason I like them! Michele wants to follow along on some shoots…so you might meet her sometime.
We had a great time at the Jeffrey Mansion in Bexley. They are an adorable family I love to call my friends!
